Post excerpts from your work. You can use it from your Tapas novel, make it up, or use it as a type of poetry.

It makes no difference.

It is advised, but not required, to post short ones.

I'm referring to posting as much as you like "without spamming." Try to avoid posting multiple snippets in a row.

Here's one of mine:

What does the detective know about the cup of tea he's holding between his lips?
The revolutionary had already had a sip.
Day and night, looting the taste of cup of tea with a silent smile;
Oblivious the righteous that
this cup has been touched by the murderer. After Atandrila's ex, her husband touched it.

Here's another for a good start:

I am a rebellious teenager on a moving bicycle at crowing midday, wearing a hat on my head, riding a bicycle in your alley- you stand on the porch with damp hair.

I'm not writing a novel, but there's a snippet from the script of chapter two of my comic that I thought was hilarious:

Koreal (grinding something in a mortar and pestle): Tonight, you get to see something that no wizard has attempted in tens of thousands of years.

Girl (grin turns more knowing): Getting laid without launching into a half-hour lecture about magic?

Koreal (mild annoyance, dumping dust into flask): Har har. It’s still going to be impressive.

(For context, the MC (Koreal) is about to attempt some very dangerous and very illegal magic, and his choice of location to do so is a local brothel, because no one looks that closely at what people are up to there, and the ladies will happily deny knowing anything for a bit more coin.)

Nice.
Yes, anything form of snippet is fine. Even if it’s something you just made up.

Girl,
The sweet smile on your summery lips,
This isn't a smile;
it's a virus that's doing havoc on my heart.

My bad. Shouldn’t have expected much from this site. It's the last straw.

Here's a randomly chosen excerpt from my novel. Hope you enjoy!

Bardo waved two soldiers up onto the platform with him. In their custody was a figure whose arms and legs were bound in heavy chains and whose face was hidden beneath a black bag placed over his head. They forced the person to their knees and Bardo turned his attention back toward the crowd.

"I understand that some of you are familiar with the name Flaming Arrow, and of the rumors surrounding his crimes against humanity. I am here to confirm these rumors as tales of truth! Rumion, your beloved 'Night Beast' was tasked with ridding the world of this merciless killer almost a decade ago! The elite soldier you call Gederah's strongest is nothing more than a fraud that couldn't even bring down a single outlaw! Your trusted Elite has failed you! If nothing else, I hope this turn of events has opened your eyes to the flaws that reside in our military's system. The Hotbloods in the Elite are chosen based on the Patriarch's personal preference rather than genuine strength and ability!"

"The commander sure is running his mouth a lot," Reima heard one of the nearby soldiers mutter.

Little snippet from my novel Broken Hearts  :

My stomach began to hurt, making me dizzy. Even a few years later, I could still feel the pain and the hotness of the fire on my skin. Nazar was silently crying next to me, one of his hands still on my shoulder.

"Can I hug you?" He whispered, trying to wipe off the tears from his face.

Without any words, I wrapped my arms around him, enjoying slightly the stunned look on his face. He wrapped his arms around my body a few seconds later, enabling me cry on his shoulder without a word. It felt good to hug someone and not get judged, especially after all this time. I never thought it would happen.

“Are you a pageant queen?” A voice from behind him said. “You spend more time in front of the mirror than in the boxing
ring.”
Max turned around to see Aaron, his father, grinning at him.
“Stop staring at yourself and get your morning workout done.”
Max rolled his eyes. "Don't you want grandchildren, Dad?" he asked. “I need to look good for my lady.”
Aaron chuckled. "You don't have a lady, Max.”

Pushing past her nervousness and walking towards the light switch, Ena did what nobody had ever done before: turned out the light while Larry was present in the attic with her.

Clenching her teeth, the woman fought to push the doubt away as a trio of insurgents appeared at the end of the street.

Now was not the time to be vulnerable. She had to cast away those little detractors which left her compromised and unable to focus.

As the insurgents surged towards her, she pulled the dagger from her robes and readied herself for what was to come.
It was time for the unveiling of her fate.

A snippet from my current novel.

As they chatted, Cho and Jesse kept them up to date on what they missed since they left Clare Point View. Leticia thought about one thing: What happened to the rest of her bandmates after The Apple Queens disbanded?

12 days later

From my novel "His Musician":

“My father would never stand for his daughter to have to wait to use the restroom just because some low-life janitor has to clean the toilets now. I mean, come on! Are they really that eager to clean up others’ shit?”
“I bet that new hotty wouldn’t stand for this. After all, he has to be from a wealthy family. Where else could someone like him come from?”
“Mind if I get through? Wouldn’t want to be in your way any longer. Besides, there’s no more shit in there for me to clean.” Ash nearly choked on his laughter as the girls looked up to see the “new hotty” in a janitor’s coveralls, obviously trying to continue on with his job.

From my novel "The secret of heir"

'What is his problem?' Dawn thought to herself as she glanced up at male in front of her.
Then it hit her.
"You!" she shouted as she pointed her index finger at him.
He grabbed her wrist and pulled her in nearest room. Locking the doors he pushed her towards centre of said room.
"Why are you here?!"
"I seriously hoped you wouldn't be this dumb" he let out a chuckle
"Who do you think you are?" she spat glaring at tall male.
Mistake number....who knows?
