Can you give a brief summary of what yours is about? Here is mine, for anyone who may be interested. The rise of a dark plague leaves the fate of mankind on thin ice. In this world filled with violence and uncertainty, soldiers and outlaws must come together and challenge the unknown if they are t…

Hmm… If you took a 3 year hiatus and improved dramatically during that time a reboot is understandable. Maybe consider your first attempt at the story as sort of a “test drive” for lack of a better term. I think in that situation it would make sense to keep what you have up but let your readers know…

I personally find it annoying. If the author is just going back to update the art/writing style to match the current chapters that’s one thing. It’s still a bit irritating when someone halts projects to redo old stuff, but not enough for me to drop the story. However, when someone completely starts …

Not sure what kind of stuff you like, but this is mine. Summary: The rise of a dark plague leaves the fate of mankind on thin ice. In this world filled with violence and uncertainty, soldiers and outlaws must come together and challenge the unknown if they are to stand a chance at taking their wor…

Sure! My novel is a fantasy where some people have powers, but my main character is not one of them. I think it’s more interesting that way. Seeing how an “unremarkable” MC navigates a world where everything is fueled by magic or other fantasy elements is such a cool concept to me!

I really like the cover art, but I feel like the description is a bit long. When looking at a description, I want to know just enough to grab my interest, not necessarily the entire plot. Hope this helps!

Gederah is back after a year long hiatus! In this latest installment, Reima learns the significance of the marks worn by the Felids, Kyo takes a cactus to the ass, and Shergar does some self reflection. That and more in Chapter 17: “Mark of the Wolf”

Will it take me a million years to finish? Probably. But dammit, I’m gonna finish this novel or die trying :joy:

Not a fan of either but if I had to choose I’d definitely go with tea. It’s not my favorite but I can at the very least tolerate it. Coffee is just nasty. The smell alone makes me wanna gag 🤢 +1 to tea

@EncryptedWriting hold up, you can turn them off?? How? I’m fine with notifications regarding my own work and things I’m ACTUALLY subscribed to, I just need for Tapas to chill on the ads

Tapas is obnoxious as hell about this. Has been forever but I feel like it’s getting worse. The stories they’re advertising this way are already the first thing we see when logging onto the site, I don’t understand why they feel the need to piss everyone off with spam. If anything it makes me want t…

I’m not sure how long something has to be in order to be considered binge worthy, but contributing to this thread nonetheless. Genre: Dark fantasy, mystery, adventure Current Chapter Number: 16 Word Count: 45,300 Favorite Published Chapter: Not sure Update Frequency: On hiatus

Third for me. I feel like it gives you more freedom to explore the thoughts of other characters. I’ll read first person if it’s just for the prologue and/or epilogue and MAYBE if the story is interesting enough, but for the most part it’s kind of a deal breaker for me.

Tapas is a lot more lenient with mature themes in novels than in comics. You should be fine as long as you put a mature tag on it.

As someone who has struggled with adhd for 20ish years I FEEL YOU. And honestly, kudos to you for trying to keep up and engage with that many stories, because I literally couldn’t do that no matter how good they were lol! But I don’t think you should feel obligated to comment on everything. A simple…

I don’t really worry about it one way or the other. I make it clear from the start that my novel contains mature elements. If that’s not you’re kind of thing, don’t read it. I’m not going to go out of my way to make something as detailed/gross as I possibly can, but if a scene calls for something br…

Here's a randomly chosen excerpt from my novel. Hope you enjoy! Bardo waved two soldiers up onto the platform with him. In their custody was a figure whose arms and legs were bound in heavy chains and whose face was hidden beneath a black bag placed over his head. They forced the person to their…

I don’t really know if I’d call it a guilty pleasure but I’m just saying the Jeff Bezos song slaps way harder than it should… Novel unrelated but since you asked…

I don’t know what the requirements are for comics, but for novels I believe the main criteria is a frequent and/or consistent uploading schedule and little to no grammatical errors. Other than that, I think it’s just whatever catches the eye of the Tapas staff members. It happened to me once when I …

I’m always down for some feedback. Thanks for the offer!

My two most recent characters are Saela and Talia. Both made their debut in chapter 16. Seeing as I am not an artist, I don’t have pictures of either of them, but I can give little blurbs for them. Saela is the town of Felidae’s artisan. Gentle and creative, she designs the marks worn by Felidae’s…

I feel like they can last as long as you need them to, but I’d recommend keeping the flashback scene in a single episode to avoid confusion. Also not sure if you’re dealing with a comic or novel, so that could also factor into how you go about things. This is how I went about writing a similar scene…

Also, pretty much anything math related. Dyscalculia sucks.

Pain medication such as Advil or Tylenol. How does it know which part of the body to target? I could have a headache one day and a sprained ankle the next, and it just KNOWS. I’m sure a simple google search would be able to answer this but alas, I am lazy.

This just unlocked a memory I didn’t realize I had

What version are you using? It could be that either your computer is too old to keep up with a newer version or you need a software update.

Names are either super fun or a major pain in the ass. There’s no in between. I have a few methods, however. https://www.fantasynamegenerators.com/ has all kinds of good choices spanning a bajillion categories. I also sometimes scroll through movie credits and find something fun through that. Someti…

I’m not about the sub for sub life, but I’ll do a read for read for as long as you’re able to hold my attention. If you’re story piques my interest enough, I’ll drop a comment or two, but I rarely subscribe unless you REALLY manage to draw me in. Happy to give it a try though! This is my novel if yo…

Kaito has entered the chat. There’s a reason he’s dubbed the Flaming Arrow! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
