Am actually trying to do that right now, I have test prints of my comic it honestly looks so much nicer than it does online, I'm gonna try to publish it on DrafttoDigital
but the price I haven't thought of it, I think cause I'm indie with a small audience I'd have to charge low like $5-10 (For the first 4 chapters)

That's the plan! I'm going to need to do a kickstarter though because ideally I'd like to price them competitively with mainstream comics in my country. There's a law here that states that the price of a comic is fixed and universal, so most comics with standard 48 pages all retail for a very similar price and stores cannot vary the price in any way.

I want to be able to sell my 72 page comic for around 15€ per comic, but to do that I need to order 250 units at least or production cost is going to be higher than that. It's a bit of a gamble...

The original Kickstarter/ release price for Errant Book 1 was £10 GBP, though I'm experimenting with raising the price a bit, since a lot of people sell similar length (180 pages) full colour perfect bound books for a lot more than that, sometimes as much as £20. The unit cost was only like £5-6 per book to print though, so I already more than covered the cost of the print run with the Kickstarter preorders.

I would really want to print and sell my story un physical form, hmm for pricing, I think you can always research a bit on amazon like how other authors of the same genre are pricing their books. Then decide your pricing - but do note, to not price it too low.

If I had the funds to pay someone to redraw/colour mine I would. I have the local Manga/Anime shop here. I live in a large city with a big anime cosplay and following even a convenetion. That saw my older art years ago which was not as good and he said if I ever made prints, books or merch hed sell it in his shop. The shop has been around for decades.
He sells h3nt@i too in a back room restricted adult section and I do that too so maybe hed be intereted. Its my newer improved art style compared from 7 years ago. So Id be confortable making books and merch of that.
Id probally price my books what they go for here, in the US its like $8 or 9.99 here in Canada its like $12 or 13. But Id have to see the cost of my local printer. I get less colour and alignment issues from local shops than big name companies.
I could design the book myself Ive done many for different business. I just need funds to do much of it.
Till then just keep practicing and doing it as a hobby I guess.

Yep, I'm aiming to have something printed by the end of September. Though it will be related to my series, I'm going to be creating all- new material instead of just reprinting comics that are already available online. Hopefully that will help sell a few copies too, since it'll be exclusive material that won't be uploaded online.

I'd like to (LOVE to...) but I'm having trouble finding an affordable way to do it. Between my first chapter being over 100 pages, and in full color, and my not having enough of a following to make Kickstarter a feasible option, I'm pondering how to do this, because the last estimate I looked at was......... a LOT.

I need to figure out where my first chapter naturally 'breaks', so I can get 20-25 page chunks printed instead, I think, and just do it as a series.

I'm in the same boat. I think the printing price is my biggest regret when it comes to choosing color over B&W comics. It cost like 3-5x more to print in color, and my wallet hurts just thinking about it lol

Although I don't have any copies at the moment, I printed the first volume of my comic already, got it crowdfunded and all that.

My original general price was $25, but after my printer updated their stuff with an option for higher quality paper and covers I plan on upping future copies to $30, maybe $35. Not sure about what price the last two volumes are going to be, it depends on cost of printing and all that, and I won't know how thick they will be until they're finished. I also want to find a way to print a special edition single hardcover book with all the chapters once the story is finished, which will probably be... pretty expensive to make and sell.

In future I would like to print out my comic and sell it at Comicons or online. That's why I draw it in page format.
Meanwhile I'm trying to sell the pdf of the full chapters

And honestly, pricing will depend on the material, the editorial / graphic house's offers, if you ship it, sell it at Cons / Artists Alleys or similar.
Right now I don't know the price for independent comics or fanzines, both local or international to have an idea either.

I personally am hoping to get physical prints of my work though; I just won't be the one to work in it XD When I have more content and readers, I plan to set up 'quests' for my readers to motivate them to do stuff to push my work further in the world (e.g. add to its Tvtropes page, or write an analysis on the story, or organize the files in printable form and put them up on a print on demand site )

I thought about it many times as it's a big goal of mine. If i'm ready to print, I'll treat my print volumes like a deluxe/collector edition for dedicated fans/readers. I'm not intend to real-publish it. Just 50~60 copies at first try with help of crowdfunding, price can a bit steep, probably under $24. (volume is 350+ pages, B&W, US manga size) How is that?
