I literally saw 2-3 threads with this exact same title, and I was at the point where I'm going "do people just not read before making a thread? Do they just ignore the "Hey -- this thread is similar to XYZ" that pops up when you make a thread?"

that was my fault. I did last months thread on posting your latest update and i should have just handed it off to one person but i left it open for anyone to take up the mantel and several people did . we have to consider time frame here after all the months end at different times in different places .

that was a stupid one, so Rodimus13 (the wife of the duo) actually was the first to make the thread for august, then someone made one after her, the mods did not shut down the newer one.... they shut down hers... made no sense at all

This probably isn't aimed at me... But it frequently applies.

You can be a part of something that you're not 100% behind because you hope for change...and things, like sites and forums, will never change inside a digital echo chamber.

There HAS to be voices of discontent in imperfect systems.

The difference is that constructive criticism has a proposal to improvement and/or asking for the reason a thing is done a certain way while hostility is just plain complaining without adding anything to help.

I think @BobbyjoeXforgotensb is aiming for the former. Disagreements are not a bad thing, but how these are handled makes a huge difference on society`s problem solving skills.

Having an opinion or POV that differs from others often inspires name calling. I really don't sweat it.

I don't think the idea that ANYBODY should be made to feel like they should agree/be happy just to come to a community forum.

I think it’s fair to say the forums has a bit of a “fun police” issue, tho it may not be articulately said.

no i don't because the reality is that countries and society as a whole dont actually work like that, and if they did, there would never have been social evolution to make society better.

But if you're going to be so picky, just look at US history ffs. We went from brutal slavery to gay rights movements because of things like protesting and complaining (although slavery took a whole war to get rid of, but that war would've never happened if there was no complaint).
