So I went to Webtoons

I think Webtoons is suitable for people that have long chapters and such. But for comics(4 panel comics) like mine I doubt it it's going to work.
However I'm consider to publish my comic elsewhere besides Tapastic since the views and ratings are very disapointing for the last 3 years I've been here. I also publish it on Smackjeeves again after it changed it's layout to a more user friendly one and gotten much more attention then here in only a few weeks. Unknown arists don't get attention on Tapas for my opinion as they deserve just as much as populair ones. But I have my doubts it will be different on Webtoons though.

If you have gag-a-day comic it's no problem for them. Those comics have totally different structure than story driven ones.

I don't think you should be afraid of putting your comic on webtoon. I guess mine isn't as popular as others, but all the comments I got from the start were very nice. Maybe when you get popular, then you get more trolls commenting

In terms of length of updates, it's true that I started getting more subscribers once I made my episodes longer. Maybe you can try different episode length/update schedules when you start and see how it goes?

It depends on my idea how long or how many panels I need to put them in it. Sometimes it's only 1 panel ^^'. But mostly 4 to 5 panels max because they need to be short and simple.. But never hurts to try out!

@AffectedMind I love it when you call it a gag-a-day comic xD. But I might consider using webtoons then, thank you!

As an avid webtoons reader, people don't mind waiting a month or more to get their comics, and if you spread out the comics to be in a "webtoon" format, so like 1-2 panel(s) for every phone length you can get longer updates, which people are more likely to read. If someone updates every day with 2-3 panels, I usually ignore it and then binge it on a later date. I feel like this is the attitude on webtoons, seeing as all the offical webtoons do this format. People who read discover comics expect longer breaks between updates too. (They also just introduced something similar to the ad sense program on youtube, where you can get a cut of the revenue from your comic? I'm not sure how it works, seeing as I'm not a creator.)

I´ve come down to a 10-12 panel update on Webtoon every week, and haven´t heard much complain.
On the other side, my readership seems to be suprisingly civil for a webtoon one, so I am def glad for that.
