Oh, well, um. Curse my habit of keeping old art around. Er. Luckily, my very first attempt at digital art seems to have been lost somewhere along the way, but let me assure you - it was terrible.
Here we go, then!
This is the very first thing I drew on my Cintiq 21UX - ten years ago. I was about 16, and clearly had no concept of the fact that fingers are supposed to be able to, you know, bend and stuff. Also, linewidth clearly happened to other people.
Another example, from around the same time, drawn with pens and paper badly suited for the purpose:
Again, weird-looking fingers. I dunno what my deal with that was.
And here's one from a couple of weeks ago - drawn on the
very same cintiq as the first example. I've got a better grasp of anatomy and shading now, and the fingers actually have knuckles and stuff - and there's some actual thought put into the inking. There may be a long way to go yet, but I have definitely improved!
