Hello!
I should have bookmarked other posts I've seen like this, because I cannot find them for the life of me rn. But I'm aware novelists are able to add images to there novels.
My question is... HOW?! When I went to check adding a new chapter, I'm not seeing any type of upload option. Does it need to be done using a link? Andddd is there size restrictions?
Thanks guuuuuys.
its a glitch on Firefox, you are able to literally copy and paste the image into the text box on Tapas
Okay sweet! Way easier than I would have imagined.
Me and a friend looked a little more into it a while back, and we found that the total size limit was roughly 1.4MB and though we didn't really test it out, the resolution limits might still be the same like it is for comics at 940x4000 I'm not entirely sure if it stayed the same since then. It's not much to work with but it could be enough for a few images if you're willing to scale down. I dunno if the file size limit has changed since then though, it's been maybe a year.. I would say? Definitely experiment with image sizes for a bit to see if the limits are still the same
That’s good to know! Thanks for the info.
@ar-ninetysix I also find out you can not set all your pictures into the same episode, it is good to know the 1,4Mb thanks.
I will update this with the limit:
I found out the other day that you might need to hit paste a lot. Like copy the image from MS Word program, highlight it to copy like anything else (doesn't work if it's a picture program like Paint), and then in Tapas hit paste once doesn't always work. But three in a row, I was more likely to have it actually paste. I'm not sure why the first seems to have trouble reading the data and just does a space or something but not the image. If at first you don't succeed, mash CTRL+V
Interesting... I was trying to paste one in yesterday and it wasn't working! This must have been why.
Yeah I literally had the problem like three days ago and the mashing is what made it go in finally.
@Maps @nostalgicroxasI always use Powerpoint to do it, and it always works for me.If crtl+v doesn't work try to past it only with the muses.
"Muses"? I don't know what this means.
I don't have powerpoint so I have to work off of either an art program like Paint which doesn't seem to work, or a word program.
Hehe too quick there I am.... mouse
You can try google and download: OpenOffice It is free
I do use openoffice. It's the only one that works but like I said I have to mash paste sometimes.
