Most creators don't participate in those actually, because it's not good for your overall algorithm and produces dead subs eventually. Sure, okay to get over those goal hurdles. But once there's a certain threshold with several hundreds subs that are ALL creators? It might be time to start attracting readers at that point.
That sort of activity gets reported as spam, by the way. (I report all messages soliciting to my wall to do to sub4sub to Tapas, especially contest novels active in these).
