Alright, so being the lifeless potato I am, I was playing Skyrim earlier today and almost like the moment when I came up with the idea for Cleo the Wanderer, I came up with yet ANOTHER idea.
I swear whenever I play Skyrim, I keep having all these new story ideas. It's like DJ Khaled in here.
*Plays Skyrim. Comes up with an idea. And another one, and another one, another one, another one, another one, etc.
So, what's this story about? Well, let me give you a scenario.
Imagine you're going in for a job interview at a pretty high-class company. So you go in and you're all set up with your suit and tie, you look nice, you have your application in your hand and everything you'll say in mind and you walk into the lobby. Suddenly, you hear a voice ask who you are. You don't look at the source and simply answer you're here to fill an appointment for a job interview. You say your name and to be polite you look up at the receptionist who tells you to wait a few minutes.
She's a green, big toothed, orc. An orc from mythology. Of course, your mind is like:
"What the actual flying fuck?" and you're startled. She says she gets that often and somehow you two strike up a friendly conversation. Turns out she's pretty cool. She's nice, is determined to go higher in her career and all that jazz. Minutes later you go in for the interview. Saying goodbye to your mythological friend.
Yep, this story is about a used-to-be-young human woman working as a receptionist at a high ranking company but on a morning jog she went out jogging near some mountains and she falls down a large hill and cuts herself on some old sharp shrubs, rocks, and accidentally (and literally) stumbles onto a plot of land that was once cursed by the ancient orcs of mediaeval times. She's taken to the doctor and other than a sprained ankle and some cuts, she's fine. But within a week she notices some changes such as her skin turning green, her once red hair turning jet black and her teeth shifting and growing (quite painfully) until she resembles an orc from long ago.
At first, she's met with terrified and confused stares, ridicule and hate, she eventually is discovered by a radio talk show host who's theme for his show is the paranormal and strange. Her story becomes famous through the radio talk show and suddenly all these talk shows are inviting her for a chat to learn more about her, but even she doesn't know the answers to her sudden change.
Meanwhile, a mysterious and dark evil is waiting to arise and senses the young orc's presence. Letting it know to awaken. She shares the odd feeling but doesn't know what it means until she notices more changes in her personality. She becomes more and stronger, once being able to lift only a little over a hundred pounds, now she's able to lift fifteen times that. She becomes more determined to get into fights and she even becomes more and more violent including angry outbursts. However, she still manages to keep her friendly and almost approchable personality present and in check.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you; "Jean's Roar"
(Title may change over time)
So, what do you all think? What should I revise and keep? Is this original enough? What do you guys think of the story overall?
