Lo key, this is my go to for everything when I'm posting:

Whether it's for story planning, motivation, story structure, making a story move forward, etc -- the one thing that hasn't failed me yet has been making music playlists for my stories.

I am one of those people who can see entire music videos when listening to music, and I know I'm not the only person who does this.So I use that to my advance. I create a playlist with music that I personally feel fit my story, my characters, and their motivations. Then, I usually create entire scenes, if not concepts, through the music.

I piece everything together later. Lemme tell you -- I've completely two comic scripts that way. Two very long comic scripts.

It can be a messy method and might not work for everyone XD But give it a light try and see how it works out for you

I'm actually using a method similar to this for a short story that I've been working on and despite having it's downsides it is effective.

I feel kind of like the other way around.

I'll listen to music and plan an animation to it rather than plan music to an animation, if that makes sense?
