I think the weirdest commentary I've gotten was secondhand. I moved to Colorado a few years ago and a whole bunch of my parents' friends were like "Isn't she an artist? Oh, we know why she's moving there" nudgenudgewinkwink

Person: I wish i could draw
Me: well, it's not like i was born knowing
Person: No no, but, you like, have an ability
Me: I really don't. I'm not even that good, and it's all because of years of practi-
Person: I can't even draw a stick figure

"And the animation is by hand in traditional paper"
me: That covers most of the paper cost without counting re-makes of scenes...but not my work hours.

Most people just ask what I'm drawing, it's a bit awkard to talk about it like that so I don't really ever tell people I draw, only my family and some old friends now and I'm comfortable with just that ^u^
I hate it when people ask to look at my drawing, most of the illustrations I make are personal and it feels the same as if someone were reading in my diary.
