Good for you, I don't mind drawing naked people either, but the main thing about it is that I got a lot of pervs following me, some being really disgusting. So it's not about the drawing themselves, it's about the recipients being shit.

Here are some frequently asked questions.

Questions that annoy me

"Did you draw that?" No shit.

"Do you take requests?" No

"Will you draw my manga?" Noooo!
I should seriously put a statement on my profile that says "I won't draw for you" because all of these requests are coming from freakin' Tapastic!

"Wow you're a girl?" I actually get this one often, I don't know why people think I'm a dude.

Questions I don't mind

"What brush tool do you use for your line art?" This one actually makes me laugh a bit because my line art is done completely by hand and with dip pens.

"How do you make your lines so smooth with the G-pen?"
Lots of practice and you gotta find the sweet spot. Once you do this thing becomes your best friend

"Why do you use dip pens and not just regular microns?"
Dip pens are more versatile with pressure and I quickly get the lines I want whereas with a micron I would have to go over it more times and the lines still wouldn't be as nice. Viewers may not know the difference but I sure do.

"What program do you use?"
Clip Studio Pro.

"What tablet do you use?"
It used to be a Bamboo Splash tablet but I recently upgraded to a Cintiq.

"Hey that character looks like you." (My sister at times) I have no idea why that annoys me but it does.

"I can't even draw a stick figure." My usual response to this is that if you can write you can draw since you're technically drawing words and that it's a matter of interest and dedication.

"It looks like anime. Do you like anime?" Some guy...You know honestly I started drawing because of my love for anime and used those "How to Draw Anime" books as my starter. Doesn't annoy me very much because I kind of figured some anime influence would remain in my style.

"Your inking style reminds me of "Bone." Actually I had never read "Bone" before but more than one person has said this and that's how I got introduced to the comic. I mainly look to "Calvin and Hobbes" for inking inspiration. Frankly I do find it flattering so thank you guys for that.

"This portrait doesn't look like me."

omggggg, two middle-aged ladies commissioned me at a con to draw them as Batgirl and Wonder Woman. They paid me and went to stroll around as I did their commish. They come back, pick it up, then come back 10 minutes later and ask for a refund. I was floored, I just gave them back their money cuz I didn't want to deal with it. I was so pissed after. MY GOD.

Anyway, most of what's said to me has already been covered. But my favorite's always been, "That's sooo good!"

I started to attend conventions last year with two of my manga. A lot of people asked this questions: "In which bookstore can I buy those books?"

On the one hand I'm flattered that they think my quality is good enough for a publisher. But on the other hand I'm a bit sad they don't buy it from me then :/ (but this year I can say they can buy it in a comic bookstore in munich, hell yeah!)

Also a lot of people ask if I drew it traditionally. Which is a huge compliment because I draw it on PC with the goal to make it look like traditional art

Some people tell me they wish they could be as good at drawing as I am, and I usually reply "well, start practising then!" ^^

Also, some colleagues want me to draw portraits of them, but I hesitate in case they'd be pissed off at my rendering of them - I intend to work here for a while XD

This was back in elementary school when I used to draw better than the average person but I had this...not a rival but there was this other guy that drew as well and people would always compare us (well I'd like to think they did) but he almost always won that head to head comparison. So yeah I always got that.

"You love anime, don't you?" is a common one, and then I have to explain that I've only seen a small amount of animes compared to most people. I just like realistic styles, and I really like Satoshi Kon.

Sometimes well-meaning family members will tell me I should sell my art on greeting cards or do children's books, or ask if I wanna help their coworkers with graphic design... things that are not in my wheelhouse (I'm a storyboard artist) ~u~;

I've had a couple people ask if my comic was about me and my boyfriend. Which would be really weird, if I was writing a giant self-insert story. Plus I don't look like my protag >u>;;

Multiple people in the past have asked me to draw them in my own style, and once I gave them the finished product the majority of the answers were "It doesn't loooook liiike meeeeeeee!!! Why isn't it reahlistuuuuuhhhhhccc!!!!" insert whiny child noises here
