Subscription list - public or private?

Do you publicly display the comics you're subscribed to, or keep it private? Which do you think is the better option?

Do the comics someone subscribes to affect your choice to read their comic?

It doesn´t for me at all.
I think a reason to keep them of is the quick click.
You might be subscribed to comics that look insanely cool - so if someone is on your profile with the intention to read your comik, he/she might be drawn to some of theese - and click might never come back to your comik haha

I can't think of a reason why I'd keep it private, honestly. I'm not ashamed of any comics I read (are other people?) and I'm happy knowing that if someone takes a look I might be helping someone find a cool story and an artist gain a new reader.

i think some people are just very private, or are hatefollowing a buncha comics lol.

ig theres also that potential anxiety of like, if you have a series w a pretty small following, and then follow a lot of comics - f4f or not - people might be afraid of being discredited for that.

I like to keep mine public because I want the comics I follow to get more eyes on them and more potential readers!

Mines public but it's a rather short reading list, I do need to think about removing some comics because they haven't updated in forever. I do tend to look into other creator's reading list to see if I can find anything interesting. Even if a creator is reading something I find kinda...ew I won't think any less of them.

I have mine on private. It's just a personal preference, not because I'm in any way embarrassed of the comics I read. If I was, I wouldn't be subbed to any of the comics I am subbed to.

Honestly, if someone doesn't want to sub to me (even tho they enjoy my comic) because of something I sub to, well it's sort of their fault not mine.

I do sometimes like to look at sub lists for people's comics I enjoy to sort of find similar stuff.

However I feel if people want to be private, they should have the option to do so.

I could also imagine some people might find the sort of thing they read conflicts with their personal brand -- for example, someone who runs an all-ages comic but loves extremely NSFW sexy comics might not want to advertise the stuff they like to that audience. You can be unashamed of what you read but still be picky about what you tacitly endorse on your page!

But unless you have a real reason to keep it private, I don't think it super matters! I don't pay attention to others' sub lists when I'm looking at their comic.

I mean, I don't even know how to make that private? I didn't know that was an option until a little bit ago haha. But no, I ain't got no shame in my game, I follow a bunch of different comics so why not? It's like having a bookshelf at home and keeping it covered with a curtain. Pointless.

I have never been concerned with the people who follow my comics, not to say that I am ungrateful, on the contrary, I very much appreciate my readers, but if someone decides not to read my comics because of the comics I read? Well, that's just silly and I ain't got no time for that type of tomfoolery.

I feel really guilty about keeping my reading list private, because I WANT people to read the comics I'm reading and love them as much as I do! Also because I personally love seeing what artists I enjoy are reading (I've honestly never considered unsubbing over what a creator reads, lol).

For me it just comes down to privacy… I dunno, I've always been really private and especially sensitive about what people saw me reading (so much so that I've never been able to buy books at bookstores). I'm working up to putting my list on public, because I really do think that's so nice, but for now it's just too scary for me! XD

I display mine publicly, mostly because I just don't have a reason to make it private. I also like to check out what people I follow read, I find lots of new comics that way ^^
