Sumitting to Comics Anthology - Worth it?

There's this short story comics anthology(digital only) that I'm considering entering. It has a 4-page limit. The page rate is $40/page which I know is below market rate. But it's better than many other other anthologies that I've seen which charge even lower or even nothing at all.

I already have ideas that I am playing around with. Deadline is in August. But I guess what I am asking is it worth it submitting to the anthology?

Absolutely. For $160, I'd definitely do it, unless there was some kind of super high application fee. Even if it didn't pay, being published in an anthology(ies) is a good way to get your foot in the door of industry and indie comics, if that is something you're interested in.

Thanks for that. I think I'll give it a shot. Good opportunity for me to at least develop my craft as a comic creator.

I guess the main question is do you actually want to participate in this one. 160$ is a good enough amount, especially if you want to try yourself in something like this. I only participated in anthology once because I immediately came up with an idea and even if the payment wasn't huge, it was a fun thing to take part in, and creating a new story on a particular topic! After a few years I am still glad I did it.

Definitely want to try. The genre is right up my alley. Name of the anthology is "Toonthology".
