One thing that may encourage or entice people into this is have a structured plan, and expectations.
Having a team is just as much work if not more than handling one comic on your own.
That's 8 people that need to consistently need to be kept in the loop, be heard, have opinions that they'd like shared, and ideas of their own.
From a business perspective of this, you'd essentially have to play the role of Project Manager and make sure that this is truly a group effort, and everyone is getting credit, etc.
So if you have a solid plan of what your expectations are, and the specific roles, show them! This idea as worked for others in the past, after all.
