Tag your story and tell us about the hardest scene you've written for it

I finally finished drafting a big kiss scene between my leads that I've been building up to for a long time. But getting those words out was like pulling teeth.

The reason is because I recently had some pretty bad luck in my own romantic pursuits. I got my heart broken so bad that I honestly worried I'd never be able to write romance again. Luckily, while it's not perfect, I finally got some words on paper, and they finally locked lips!!

How about you guys? What was the hardest to write scene in your current project?

For me, the most difficult is often scenes with Calixa's pov. She's basically my opposite so writing her thought process is often very difficult.

Also, the separation scene between my main couple. Oof, hit like a truck

For me, by far, the most difficult scenes to write in Wild Nights, Hot and Crazy Days were the accidental death of one character early in the story and the suicide of another later on. What made these scenes so difficult to write is the fact that WNHCD is a true story. The deaths really happened.

Honestly, every scene feels like a challenge for me. I really struggle to turn my thoughts into words, which makes each chapter a significant effort. However, if I had to pick, the hardest scene so far was when my protagonist experiences a major emotional turning point. Capturing that feeling while also moving the plot forward was really tough.

For Crystal Blue the hardest seen was probably Mora and Christopher escaping their school as the frenzy started at the beginning of the hurricane. The panic was intense and I wanted to express that without traumatizing anybody with what happens when a large group of people start running and panicking all at once

In French Cup, Gyeong-Wan has to tell his girlfriend who is also his best friend that he's fallen in love with Kazuya and that he wants to break up. This is has been plaguing him for the entire book. He comes from an affluent family, and their families were expecting them to get married since they're a beneficial match to both families. In telling his girlfriend he's fallen in love with a man, he's telling her he is gay and that he never felt for her the way she's thought. To his surprise, she comes out to him as a lesbian in the same conversation and in fact they've been in a lavender relationship the whole time.

French Cup is a comedy about drag queens in Tokyo defending their queer neighborhood from Karens invading Karens who wish to gentrify it!

I think I just wrote what I would consider to be the hardest scene in the story I'm writing. It's a conversation based conflict between my main characters Argo and Nyx and a man who goes by the moniker of Knowledge. I feel like I really captured the tension of the scene and the danger that the characters were in.

The hardest part for me (which isn't out yet) is when Harper has a total mental breakdown from all the stress. Crazy how writers can make themselves cry from something THEY wrote.

They arent done yet but the hallucination scenes in my comic are very hard to write. They have to mean something personal to the character but also be understandable by the audience. Do check out out my comic if you like psychological action and (probably next episode) hallucinations!
