Moran Tawfeek is the daughter of the world's most infamous supervillain, Clusterstorm. As a child she was small and unsure of herself, being very quiet and avoidant of others, but when she came to understand that she was, in fact, a girl and not a boy, her confidence grew, as did her determination. Her family moved around a lot, what with her father's line of work, but found some stability when Moran was twelve years old, thanks to her father getting an (actual real legal!) job in Glasgow, although it did mean the biggest upheaval of her life; leaving Cairo for good.
But Clusterstorm, despite everything, couldn't give the cape up, and as he continued his escapades his powers became more and more unstable, until a run in with the group of superheros known as the Immortals killed him, and half of London.
Moran, grief-stricken, did not trust that her father's death was a mere accident, and set out for the truth, which included the breaking and entering of many old laboratories he had used. This is when she got her powers. Clusterstorm had control over the weather, and gained his powers through his work in chemistry, when Moran stumbled upon some of his findings, she gained the control over solely the wind.
Upon discovering this, she became panicked and reckless, and planned to run away from home. Before she could, however, she revealed her powers in a brawl between herself and another student at her school, resulting in intensive hospital care for the student, and a prison sentence for Moran, at the new 'impenetrable' Superhuman Juvenile Detention Facility.
Moran was raised mainly by her mother, a deaf egyptian woman who flowed with kindness and love, and although she adored her father, it was her mother she tried to model herself off - not that that stopped her inheriting his temper. She is fluent in Arabic, English, and British sign language, and rusty in Hebrew. Although her father is both ethnically and religiously Jewish, Moran is Muslim like her mother, although she has a Jewish first name.
Moran Tawfeek is the leader and closest we come to a main character in my webcomic, Breakout.
