My character is a 16 year old half demon named Quixel. He was raised and trained by a giantess who sealed his memories when he was old enough to survive on his own, and he lived alone for 10 years. Because he lived with the giantess he has a knowledge of the common tongue, but because he had no use for it for 10 years he forgot most of it. Also, because he didn't talk for 10 years, his voice box atrophied (not actually possible, but who cares. It's fantasy, anything is possible) so he has a really hoarse, hard to understand voice, and he can't really say more than a few words at a time. Any sort of strain (yelling) essentially kills what voice he does have until it heals.
Anyways, he's a super intelligent, curious boy, though he doesn't let his curiosity get the better of him. For the 10 years he was a simple beast of the forest, with no rational thoughts running through his head. That all changes when he finds an injured elf, Topa. The few words that Topa speaks to him triggers a flood of forgotten things, and for the first time Quixel has rational thought. Using knowledge that the giantess locked away (he still didn't know where it was from, he just knew it was there) he helps to heal Topa, with Topa's master's help. (Both Topa and Dahn, his master, are healers for the elf kingdom's police/defensive/soldier force, the Worg Riders.) Due to circumstances, they take Quixel back to the elf capitol, a forest city called Fallen Star. There Quixel makes more friends and a few frienemies. There too, he decides what he wants to do for himself; to destroy the creature that makes demons.
(The demons in my world aren't the typical demon. The good emotions within them are destroyed by the monster that makes them, with a 99.9% success rate. The other .1% are the half elves who don't look elven. The elves have a higher sense of right and wrong, so it takes more effort for the monster (Gobenon) to turn them into demons. Because they are half elves but don't look it, he doesn't put as much effort into it so they are called half demons because they have been demonized, but they still feel the good emotions)
This is all I feel like sharing about Quixel (and inadvertently my world), but if you (or anyone else reading this) would like more, send me a message.
