Summary

in the cave - Mina decided to join the group (though what she really wants to do is find beasts ). She was just meeting the Metals and chatting to Gemma (about shoes ).

Daemon is writing in his book, Andrew is chilling out laying on the ground. Cate is staring at Mina and trying to figure her out I think.

Genii and Erras were having a private discussion about something (related to Danivere) outside, which led to them arguing, but they were interrupted by

Serenity has just activated her surge powers for the first time after loosing her memories. She just smashed through the cave wall asking questions, so I guess we will find out what happens in the morning when Dual is back.

Danivere, Genii, Erras and even Bellah seem worried about it. Gemma not so much, as she’s only known Serenity in her docile state.))

“Who’s Ashley?” Gemma asked because she was nosy. “Is that a friend from back home?” She smiled at Anthony and Marcus.

“It’s alright... just try to stay calm...” Erras said to Serenity (or was it to himself?) as he stepped through the new hole in the wall.

“Touch Dani again and I’ll-“ Genii was all fired up from his argument with Erras and now Serenity was on the rampage (maybe) he was ready to kick butt... well, maybe not kick with his bad leg. He clenched his fists instead.

Erras waved his arms around to respectfully signal to Genii to ‘shut the f- up!’ There was still a chance Serenity hadn’t remembered anything yet. Maybe she’d just accidentally discovered her incredible strength powers.

Mine stopped rummaging through her bag giving Gemma a serious one over before she returned her attention to the bag. "Well let's try this pair it might fit." She pulled out a pair of low plateau heels handing them over to Gemma before turning to the two talking to the girl wondering what they were talking about since she didn't really understand who was who and what was what.
Then suddenly everything was interrupted by falling stones and some weird loud sound. Mina didn't even realize what was happened when she already reacted her instincts alone had pushed her to jump back retrieving until she was standing in the cave entrance looking at the whole scene with the muscles around her eyes tighten and her whole body in reaction mode ready to run or fight depending on what was coming next. She even touched the tattoos on her shoulder mumbling a prayer to make it easier for her to summon the hunt if needed.

Marcus looked at Gemma:

Marcus: "See, well now it's complicated...."
Anthony: "Just stop bro. She's my ex-girlfriend... kinda..."

Now Anthony was confused about his relationship to Battle Blitz.

Marcus: "Told you it was complicated. Even you don't know."

Serenity was lost and confused. How did she forget about her surge? And what does he mean, touch "Dani" again?
There was something everyone knew, but was not telling her. Something from before she lost her memory. She'd be sure to get to the bottom of this.

Gemma took Mina’s shoes and turned them over in her hands excitedly. She put them down on the ground and was halfway through pulling off her own shoes when Serenity crashed through the wall. As Mina scarpered Gemma panicked and hid behind Anthony.

“You were hit in battle with a poisoned dart...” Erras began to explain to Serenity what was going on. “... you were very ill and when you awoke you had lost your memory.”

Genii thought keeping information from Serenity was only going to make her angrier and more confused. He knew how that felt. The Siren got closer to Danivere and held her hand, glaring at Serenity as he went.

((Alright, so Gemma and Mina were having conversations about shoes and stuff in general, and Genii and Erras were discussing things about Danivere and most likely the fact that Erras wants to drop Genii by the capital, I think.

Serenity accidentically activated her surge for the first time since she lost her memory. Some of the others are concerned and try to keep the past secret.

"Indeed, and we took you to Gemma's tavern so we could take care of you." Cate joins in with Erras to conceal the truth. After all, if Serenity remembered Cate was the one who drained her strength, she might actually be torn apart.

Danivere was not sure what to do. The queen was back at full strength now, while Serenity was at a weaker state and less inclined for combat. It would be a smart move to deal with Serenity once and for all right here and now.

That's how the old Danivere would have thought. But that's no longer how she thinks now. Killing Serenity would go too far, even if she was keen on murdering Danivere. She decides to do nothing but watch Erras and Cate try and convince Serenity.

“You are still recovering. Your strength and memories will return in time.” Erras said calmly. “It is understandable that you are scared and confused right now, but none of us wish to harm you Serenity.”

Gemma was used to diffusing tavern conflicts with free food and booze, but she couldn’t give everyone a round of drinks here. She stepped out from behind Anthony and gave Serenity a smile and a wave to show she agreed with Erras.

Genii turned away and looked at Danivere. He didn’t really want to hurt Serenity, but if she suddenly snapped again he couldn’t promise he wouldn’t.

Bellah thought deceiving Serenity was a foolish idea. They should have told the woman from the beginning - when she was at her weakest. All this lying was only postponing the inevitable.

Anthony looks at Gemma:

Anthony: “What are you doing? Don’t escalate the situation by waving. One wrong move and it’s game over man!”

He said getting tense. Shaddiek wiggles his antennas in anxiety.

"Sorry, I just panicked." Gemma said quietly to Anthony, dropping her hand but maintaining a smile. She barely knew Serenity and had just witnessed her walk through solid rock without so much as a scratch.

Anthony: “Bro, will everyone remain calm dammit?!”
Marcus: “Nope. My ass is headed for the exit. Y’all have fun with the storm that’s brewin.”

He said going for the exit.

"...okay" Serenity was confused by the memories that were starting to come back and the explanation Erras and Cate gave. The fact that everyone was so on edge didn't help things either.

Mina was standing by the entrance starring at the scene it was clear that everyone had their own agenda in this conflict. She could smell the lies and the fear, the anger and the urge to hurt others. Everything was just overwhelming and she didn't know what to do. The chaos was dancing through her veins and the fear was fueling her desire to give in to the sweet whispers of Malar in her head. At the same time, there was one person she couldn't just ignore. Gemma had been nice to her and she was a person who would repay kindness with kindness no matter how dark her mind really was this was something she was taught even before she could talk or walk kindness had to be repaired no matter the price.
Taking a deep breath Mina moved through the cave slowly carefully and stealthily not wanting to draw any attention to herself. Once she had moved far enough away from Gemma and the people around her she was now standing close to the group around the one who just randomly walked through walls. The air here was thick with chaos fear and other smells that were taking over her sense and she closed her eyes letting it all rush through her body the words forming in her mind without her needing to put them there. The prayer was as old as Malar himself. With each word darkness and a thick layer of fear condensed around her, the tattoos on her arm started smoking and dancing around her body as she called forth the hunt to induce fear in the people around her and to inflict chaos on the world. Mina was feeling the power high as Malar was flowing through her veins the tattoos one after another slowly starting to take form starting to wind themself through the darkness and the fear around her.

((So how does the fear work? Do the characters see their biggest fear or just frightening things?

(That depends on the character if your character has a strong constitution they might even be unaffected but mostly it is just that the space around her gets darker and the people start feeling fear. Which can manifest in many ways since if you have a strong mind you might just feel a little anxious if you are weakly minded you might even be faced with what you fear the most. The shadows of the hunt she calls are beasts she gathered but since they aren't fully there yet and just smoky shadows people see them as different things which can be what they fear or even what they desire but because it is just smoke they can never reach it. Imagine it as if you are in a dark room at night and the shadows on the wall suddenly become monsters. It is something like that.)
