i think tapas is genuinely very broad. i think certain communities, some of them very adult, are prominent and sometimes more visible than others, but theres definitely a space for children's comics (if thats what you mean? im gonna assume thats what you mean.)
having a website of your own, and/or mirroring to tumblr, is always useful. tumblr is definitely more adult (or dirty teenager) oriented than tapas, and unwelcoming to children, but there are parents and big siblings and the like on there who would happily share your content with their children. and if you dont actually mean childrens comic and im jus making an assumption: there is definitely a market on tumblr for cute comics.
mirror it there regardless, id say, bc it gives people options on how they wanna follow your content. some ppl might love your comic, but hate tapas for whatever reason - you can redirect them to tumblr and job done.
theres webtoons, smackjeeves... potentially you could host it all on patreon (they have a timer function now so you can have people pay for early pages, and get them for free at a later date)
theres some other comic hosting sites like tapas if you look around but i cant tell you their names for the life of me
