Tapas avoids making YouTube Channel?

Yo wassup, KamenraPLUS here. lately i've been checking in to see what's been happening with Tapas on YouTube. I was surprised to see they have nothing going on with youtube. To my knowledge, Tapastic doesn't even own their own youtube channel. I feel like it's necessary for Tapas to start making a channel where they can showcase the creators content on youtube since its such a huge platform and will definitely drive more traffic to their website. I honestly have no idea as too why they still haven't made one but would like it if they did. As a creator who plans to work with Tapas, I would like to all of the amazing series here to have an opportunity to showcase their works on youtube. not too mention that i already see other platforms similar to this do exactly what i'm talking about for example WebToons. I want this site to stand out, so why not make a channel where we can show the people our creators and their content?

On the advertising part, we're on our own.

The Daily Snack (app-only feature) is manually selected by Tapas mods though.

Maybe they want to keep Tapas (itself) the main platform. If you want a channel like that, you could also start one yourself?

youtube videos take a lot of time and effort - gotta write them, film them, edit them. even those little ads take time that can be spent on something else. and then its another social media presence to manage. tapas are still a pretty small company with a pretty small number of staff - youtube just isnt a priority right now.

Well, there's this, https://www.youtube.com/user/TapasticDotCom/videos, but after the app launch it wasn't very active (or watched).

If anything, their Twitter does more on the promotion front. Which makes sense, since all you need is a screen shot and a quip to promote on Twitter.

What would they do with a YouTube channel? Everything they would do on YouTube, they already do on the main platform and the forums.

It's 20 people in a house keeping the site running. Shooting and editing videos would take up too much time out of their day. Plus starting a youtube channel is basically starting from square one I imagine. You'd have to promote the heck out of it to get anywhere. And it's not like the content Tap could theoretically provide through YT would gain a tremendous following. So it wouldn't be worth the time from a cost-benefit perspective.
