Tapas Christmas Crossover 2021!

So yesterday I decided to gauge potential interest in another christmas crossover for tapas here:

So if you are a bit older on tapas (since 2019), then you might have seen or participated in this event by @aqua03 And I was thinking of bringing it back for this year! Tapas forums would have two christmas related events going on in that case, this one and the secret santa (which means you could get double the guest art!) Hence why I'm making a thread to gauge interest for it. It's kinda early but from last time I experienced it is good to have everything sorted out beforehand so it is cle…

And it seemed a lot of people were interested! I also saw that quite a few people wanted to be able to start early.

So here is the official thread for the event. It works as follows:

In the crossover, every participant will draw a illustration (or a comic/several if that floats their boat, but one illustration is fine). This illustration contains their characters and atleast one character of another creator in the crossover.

How do you get assigned to another creator? Well at first we'll try to see who is interested in drawing certain characters from another creator, and eventually we'll try and connect the dots to create a chain! So if I make an example:

• santa draws dual
• dual draws fish
• fish draws...
• Etc
• ... draws santa

This does mean that once the chain is formed, it becomes rather hard to join in since everybody already knows what they are drawing and it can be chaotic in that regard. So don't react too late.
Of course you can always draw more characters in your piece that don't belong to you or the person assigned to you.

Make sure to pick which characters you want to enter! A reference picture goes a long way for the characters.

I'll wait for some replies to gauge who enters with which characters.

Rayvis - He's a very cowardly character that loves being nice to others.

Leo - Is very calm and collected. Doesn't really know how to express himself.

I think I'll go with a crossover with @TAMAnnoying's cast since they're one of the few that I haven't drawn in this thread. But I could always just include a couple of other characters.

These are my potential characters:

Jun

A leader (politician) who loves reading, spending the nights writing and studying; his attitude usually leads people to believe he has his head in the clouds even though he shows proper leading skills when needed.

Yantho

He's a warrior and a general. His attitude is usually menacing, focused and barely shows any sense of humor. He acts more relaxed when he's alone with Jun, his adoptive big brother.

Kane

A former slave leading an uprising he never wanted to be involved into. Kane is calm and docile, he dislikes violence and noisy people; he would rather be alone tending his plants.

And one last extra character

Haytham.
He's the god of war of this story and he loves blood baths as much as being in the limelight. He has serious diva issues and he is usually seen as a very dangerous indivual despite he always acts thinking about his humans first. His default "friendly" smile doesn't help at all to be seen as a trustworthy ally.

I have no preference as to whose character to draw really, do we have to pick someone or will we be picked for us if we dont?
(Im most comfortable with humanoid characters tho but gotta get out of the comfort zone too I guess !)

Well initially I let people pick who they want to draw because I understand that not everyone likes being put in a position where they have to draw characters they don't want to draw.

But eventually the chain has to be linked and in that case I will pick for people if they haven't picked yet.
