Tapas events for new artists/authors

So, I'm new to the site and I'll start with a question for the people who've been here a 1+, let's say. Has tapas done any promotional events/ contests to boost new authors?

Something I believe the site is missing are promotional events to help the people posting here get their stories out and front much easier. It doesn't even have to be a monetary incentive, let's say the winner gets a 1 day/week, etc of the spotlight on the main page.

One of their competitors, rr, did some type of contest where, if the participants managed to post a certain amount of a story during this timeframe, they got a month free of premium services for their accounts.

It doesn't have to be that, but maybe something similar?

There are opportunities for Comics, but for novels there are very rare. I'm on Tapas since last year but there have less than 5 events for promoting novels since then.
Hope my view helped you.
Even I'm looking for websites to upload my other stories that support their authors. Could you recommend me some?

Personally, it seems to me Tapas may not be greatly interested in promoting new creators since we're unknown quantities. Better for them, business wise, to promote bigger names with trending themes. Of course, big names did start somewhere as new creators, but the odds of a newbie soon becoming a "star" are small, so fishing for such probably isn't high on their priorities for time & effort.

I hope I'm wrong.
