So being the busy bees that they are, they check in sporadically when they have the time. But I hear they are looking at the submit to binge thread this week! So there ought to be some updates to the binge list soon~

I'm actually glad to hear they will be looking at that thread. I wondered if they even wanted us to actually post in there or just set it to complete and be done with it. The first post made it seem that clicking to complete was enough but then everyone else posted their links so I just followed like a good little sheep

There's a lot of reasons why Wattpad authors immigrated to Tapas because the authors felt cheated out by the Wattpad admins and they got rid of their forum site. Like there was no warning about it. They just deleted it without a say in it. Which hurts a lot of the Wattpad authors because that's how they managed to advertise their work with viewers and other authors. Then they felt me cheated out by the admins of Wattpad as they seem to only care about the ad revenue from the authors themselves like they're not making enough views then your series is not going to do well in their eyes. And I have seen a lot of posts on the forums about Wattpad authors moving and asking for help on how to set up and how to do well on this site. Which I'm actually glad that a lot of people (including) is able to lend them a hand. Which is another why I love the Tapas community to help everyone.

Yeah, that thread was just confusing with the results. I think a lot of people didn't realize it was a notice by staff, not a user posting for completes.... I think it's because people posted their links there, that the staff is looking through it. Which makes question if checking it "Complete" did anything at all to get it in front of their eyes? lol Seems like a waste and I should've posted in that thread like a sheep.

I suspect it'll wind up being both. They'll troll through the thread and if they don't get enough of what they're looking for, or if they use them all, they'll go through the books marked complete that didn't post in the thread. It wouldn't make too much sense to ignore the books marked complete and only go strictly by the thread simply because there are probably quite a few users who don't use the forums, thus didn't know that thread existed.

This basically. And ratique said in the opening post of the thread that staff will look through series marked complete through the main site. They just don't check all the time.

Yes: then staff may or may not see it. Unclear how many are on their plate for this first batch.
No: staff will not see it.

Now that I think about it, the home page of Tapas shows more of Comics than Novels ( which is really unfair...)

There is no particular section for newly released novels so that interested readers can have a look...
The only way they can read our novels is by searching the name of them ( which they don't know... )...

On the home page, nah, there is a section for Curated novels by staff iirc.

There's also those TOOLS I mentioned. Click Novels -> pick a genre, click Fresh or Trending or whatever, and then pick between Free to Read, or All or just Premium reads.

The only reason your work would need to be searched for by name is if there's a bug involving it (report it), or it's part of the Mature works that were blocked by the policies on the App specifically

Yup. Dunno about desktop but mobile version it is centered on comics. Even in the new and fresh release columns you can hardly find novels
