One of the worst Christmases in our lives was the year we had very little money, and food, to do much of anything. We were given a free Christmas tree, we wrapped old books with decorative colors, just so we had presents to open under the tree, and we actually had enough to get take-out Chinese food. We thought that would be the worst Christmas ever.
Then 2020 came. You know, it's weird. We had money for presents this year, a tree, a big spread of food we're going to cook on Christmas Day, we're planning a Zoom video with several friends to watch movies and sing carols. We SHOULD be really sad, but we're strangely festive. We guess we reached into the dark blackness of this year and pulled out something shining and bright. Tapas wants us to tell you about the ways we feel proud of this year, an achievement, a reached goal, a bit of success.
Just being on Tapas, meeting new friends, making new contacts, building a huge fan-base, etc., that's not really want you need to know. Because most everyone is probably going to say that. You know what we're really happy about this year?
We're alive. We've lost dear friends and loved ones all around us but somehow we're still here.
And if you're reading this right now, you should be really thankful to be alive too. And isn't that truly the greatest thing right now?
