Here is one of my favourite characters from my story.

ASTA
Race: Elf (Meldraen)

A bit about: A tenacious young woman of the race of Elves known as the Meldrae. Highly trained as a warrior, she is deceptively dangerous for one who appears so young.

Asta was sent into the world with her Father (Sal'agwen) on an important mission arranged by the Elder Council.

At the behest of her Father she studies court life in the Kingdom of Peravia as well as secretly working as an abolitionist with her best friend, Vina.

Tightly wound and anxious, pressured by the expectations of her father and the court, she bares the weight of responsibility of the mission she barely understands.

Asta has ownership of a powerfully enchanted crystal, which she has an all-consuming yearning to understand, trying to discover the origin of the jewel.

Luis
Age: 19
His favorite weapon: ax & shield

Description: A cocky teenager who doesn't know when to stop and protects whoever he deems need it. Literally like a golden retriever.

Son of George Ramirez, Luis is this kid who has to find himself midway through the book and figure out what he wants to be in this new world where technology doesn't work.

The main reason I find him so interesting is because of the way he chose to find himself. Through faith of "the old gods" aka norse paganism as well as an interesting love interest named Carlos.

Not to give away too much but the way his story is written has to be one of my best characters written so far.

I do not really have a favourite character. However, this is the character I currently like. The bio is taken from an intermission chapter in my novel.

Iota has a type of magical ability called "Transporter" in my series, which is shared by her people. She is able make space portals that can transport objects, creatures, and people (picture Dr. Strange); intra or inter-realms or dimensions. Iota is also the only relatively sane, mature person who is not openly an asshole among the cast. She is also showing a rather pacifist stance, refusing to kill and only do minimal harm even when her life is threatened. However, she still lacks screen-time to show her characters fully.

My favourite character in my series is the mc. Ken is a guy that is someone I can relate to. you can also say he is a part o me, of my past. Like me, he also has suffered a lot. As I have been able to get better I want to show others too that no matter how bad life gets for you, you too can become happy and chase your dreams

Cause I did this collage of his expressions lately - meet Leiv!

One of my main characters for my webtoon "Colours don't match".

He is 30 years old, was artificially created by the totalitarian state "ALL STATE" he lives in and was indoctrinated by it his whole life, so he has a certain narrow-minded mindset towards how a society should be.
He was chosen to work as a medic, until something (uuh spoiler) happened, so he had to change to laboratory work.

He is pretty intelligent, eager to learn, very helpful and supportive - to a degree that he stops caring about himself and tries to follow the rules as good as possible, as long as he thinks it's for a greater good and helps humanity itself. Which means he sometimes does or did things he isn't proud of, or even traumatized by it, but as long as they helped people, he thinks it is right do to.

He is emotionally kinda damaged and doesn't know how to have a connection with people, as he wasn't allowed to have or show strong emotions in the society he lives in, so he is pretty new to find out how to interact with people who are outside of work.

Also he is often shocked, as you can see in the collage, because he didn't know lots of things that happened outside of his home planet Xendar.

As the artificially created humans on Xendar mostly have genetic aberrations, he has a heart condition, hence the red lines on his neck, they connect his pacemaker to his implanted chip on his neck.

Because of some former events he developed a sleep disorder, which he counteracts with a coffee addiction.

My fav is definitely Oscar

Why? Because he´s clever but, at the same time, an unlucky bastard. It´s always so funny writing about him because he´s one of those characters who´s always making smart plans in order to obtain a benefit, he´s not evil but also not absolutely good. Nover doing anything without thinking well first... and yet, it´s pretty common his plans go to waste (cause even though he´s so clever and covering all posibilities, there are some other characters in my book that aren´t so quick witted and therefore, they screw up his plans most times without noticing).

Species: Hybrid of a Bigfoot and an Ogre

He's my favorite because he's someone that despite all the suffering he's gone through in life, has channeled it into creating a better place, he created a gang that serves as peacemakers in the town he grew up in despite he himself being abused and discriminated against by the monsters in the town when he was child and having his mother die and burnt to ashes while he had to run for his life.
He's an all round good person that grew up in a messed up environment but didnt let it corrupt him

Usually I only talk about my main girl Calliope™, so I'm gonna talk about resident goodboy Angelo this time.
Angelo has travelled by foot all the way from "where now Germany is located" down to "where once the Babylonian empire was located", not for the most fortunate of reasons. Since I can't really explain his backstory without going into heavy spoilers territory, I'll just say he had to leave the seminary as soon as possible, or face dire consequences.
People from the Holy Roman Empire (or High Roman Empire, in the story) are, in this fiction, very strict catholics, and he was raised in such an environment. To me, his journey is a very interesting one, as his travels will lead him to Babel, a place where people of all creeds and (human) races coexist. While that inevitable confrontation of his beliefs and the environment around him is by no means something new, I carefully shaped his personality as to make him someone that will neither impose his morals upon others, nor abandon them for the sake of others. His experiences with such a diverse cast of people will not only dispel many of his prejudices, but also confirm some of them.
His journey is very much his own, and doesn't aim to prove or disprove any points.

If i had to pick one, I would go with Sai.

Name: Sai (unknown/ redacted full name)
About: Sai has no memory prior to dying. Though it is clear he was picked up and experimented on and maybe the first successful experiment of SAFE (Science of Agriculture and Farming Evolution).

Finally out of SAFE labs he's sticking close to another guy in his situation, and the guy who killed him.

My story is still in its early stages, so most of the main cast have only recently made their debuts. While I do think that so far, my overall favourite would be Rebecca, or "Becka" for short, out of all the ones that have had a reasonably major role at this point (Becka not being one of them), my favourite would be bST (pronounced like the word "bestie").

The thing is, I haven't really made it clear yet if bST is real, or just a hallucination/product of the MC's imagination. As far as my protagonist Cinna knows, bST is just a voice that he can hear. Personality wise, bST is a bit of a troll by just the tiniest amount and they greatly enjoy making jokes at other people's expense. These qualities aside, bST is also incredibly caring and knows when to back off and not press matters. They're clearly very worried about Cinna whenever it seems like he's not doing so well and are willing to do everything in their power to make life easier for him.

bST's presence also seems to be linked to whether or not one is in the vicinity of Cinna's home. If one is too far away, their voice ceases to be heard. However, by taking a piece of the house with him, Cinna is able to continue conversing with them, as long as he's holding onto the piece.

bST's presence is represented by the elliptical speech bubbles that they speak in.

Some of my favorite characters I have are the mentor-types and a few show up throughout this story, but Corin is just wonderful. His proper title is Specialist-in-Training Corin Beck or just Sir Beck, but to an omnipotent creator he's just Corin. Like I mentioned literally a sentence ago, he's a mentor, specifically a history and magic teacher for the Jumorian army. He's a very intelligent water sorcerer who lives amongst books, and he genuinely cares for the cadets and likes to think of them as his kids rather than subordinates. He's honestly a comfort character for me in this story.

I'm still early on and rocky because of other responsibilities and mental health junk, but luckily he also appears early on so I'm looking forward to seeing him properly in the story. Here's a panel of him I made while jumping around drawing a few scenes I enjoy:

One of my favorite characters is a side character, Fleith, the ship's resident engineer and tinkerer. I like him because he's just good natured and has a positive attitude, even when everyone around him is flustered. He's also an insectoid alien, so it's fun to write his moods with things like antennae movements and buzzing instead of facial expressions.

His name has yet to be revealed in my comic, so for now I'm calling him Scruffy.

Scruffy is a space drifter who's clearly been around for a while, though he's cagey about how old he actually is. He works as a courier, because it gives him something to do with his time, and allows him to explore new places. He's a very earnest fellow, both easily excitable and very easily bored.

Scruffy has a slightly dodgy old ship full of various boredom-busting hobbies, such as musical instruments, classic movies, science experiments, and a surprisingly well-stocked kitchen for a bachelor. (Though he uses that inconsistently, and often forgets to eat.) He likes to collect random pieces of retro human tech, like vinyl record players, lava lamps, antique computers, and oversized music systems. He is also a highly skilled runeologist, and will experiment with various rune spells to the extent that he totally loses track of the time and forgets to sleep.

He wears his heart on his sleeve, and has a pretty broken brain-to-mouth filter, so he can really stick his foot in it at times. He's well-meaning, though, and often (quite unintentionally) charming.

Ryuzo Hijiri, the father of my comics protagonist, Is kind of an emotionless hard-ass. Beneath his cold, stone-like demeanor, he loves his son though.

The reason he is so stoic is because when his emotions get out of control, the power he possesses (fire manipulation) also goes out of control. This makes him incredibly powerful when he's angry, but also incredibly hard to predict or control to the point that he could burn down a small city.

Over the years he has learned to control himself through strict repression of his emotions. This of course, makes him weaker, but also less dangerous to his loved ones. It also has made his relationship with his son mildly strained in some ways.

He's the leader of the Red Sun Clan, which is heavily based on samurai culture.

Obviously, I like my MC, or I wouldn't be focusing a story around her. BUT, one of my favorite side characters, who won't pop up until some time in the 2nd chapter, is the archmage of the elven wizard college, Ghaelfain. He's basically the (somewhat theatrically) longsuffering, grouchy old man character. Sarcastic and snarky sometimes, but can turn on a dime and be down to business and even grandfatherly and understanding when he needs to be.

Oh, and before he began studying magic, he and his whole family were weavers, tailors, and other fiber artists. So he weaves a lot of spells and things into his hair, which is fun to draw.

My favourite has to be my character Peter Carlyle Sr., or Caryle for short.
He's the father figure of my main characters, and the literal father of one of them. He's described as being tall, slender and with shocking ice-blue eyes, but he's not really given much more attention.
The writer character of the story is constantly trying to solve all kinds of mysteries and untangle a dark and mysterious cast, but he completely overlooks Carlyle. He's just there. Just happens to be in the right place at the right time, all the time. Just happens to know exactly what to do.
And without giving too much away for what's to come, this might become important at one point. If the writer character ever figures out what's going on.
