I use a scalp detox once a month and then I deep condition my hair. I have to wear a stupid looking shower cap, but I live with it. On a weekly basis, I have to wash my hair daily because it gets so greasy really quickly. Before I wash my hair I use a hair mask, then I shampoo, then I comb it which is pretty easy since my hair is like 2A. I don't have trouble moisturizing most of my hair, because like I said, it's naturally pretty oily, But I do make a point to put some conditioner on my hands and hold it at the very ends of all my hair section by section to avoid splitting. Then I'll usually tie it up, loosely, because I don't want to put stress on my hairline, but I don't want to get conditioner on all my clothes until my hair absorbs it thoroughly. Hairstyle-wise, I usually just wear my hair down. I usually only tie it back if I want to wear drop earrings.

Everyone on Essence's dad's side of the family is tall, so it's not that weird that she's 5'10. She's also of Sudanese decent, but she doesn't know this, as it's not easily traceable because U.S. history.
