Well, you definitely emphasized the idea that everyone has their own problems, and sometimes it may be bigger than yours. Although I hate to think how much it would hurt stepping on a sea urchin.

my only problem with your page is the placement of your speech bubbles, it's a shame you covered the handshake, I had this problem too for a long while, but now i try to keep the bubble placement in mind when setting each panel. but on the plus side you have nice clear text and lovely shading.

Seriously gotta admire the meshing of different looks you've managed to work to a fine technique -- I think that this particular page shows the strengths in the juxtaposition of 2D and 3D, too! The background elements are tied very well into but not against the characters thanks to the low saturated colour scheme. And the shots are nice and dynamic, making this simple walk-and-talk much more interesting! Awesome, awesome stuff.

There's No Such Thing as Jason -- I.T. updates later on today and here's Monday's page~ Another flashback of Dim's. Did the sketch and ink totally digitally! A first for me! It was really fun and a massive time-saver. X]

@phenylketonurics Your panels flow so well! And I'm really loving the dark saturated colour choices while still being muted at times. Makes me wish I could pull off a palette like that! That perspective work is stellar too. Great job!!

@quietsnooze -- I love the way that you capture dialogue so naturally with your art and panels. It makes the point-of-view of your characters, and their relationship to each other, really super clear. It's one of the better styles for a sort of slice-of-life comic book that I've seen executed, and reading your comic sort of makes me want to see it as a road trip movie or TV show.

@StygianNinja I really like the colors and the subtext with Spence, and I love seeing the relationship between the two girls in one page (that is pulled off very well!) I also really like the character designers and reactions that Spence has to her friend-- very genuine. The text gets harder to read at the bottom panels, because you're trying to squeeze in a lot of dialogue. The text size itself is noticeably smaller (I'm reading on the website not phone). Perhaps adjusting panels, or fine tuning the script can ensure you get everything you want to say on the page without having to make the text size smaller. Overall, very good page with interesting characters that are very relatable.

That's pretty much how me and Steam Sales go.

Today was a bit of a headrush - I opened up Manga Studio to finish up my page with a little corrective inking and some correction of text boxes and found out half the page was missing. Turns out when I told MS to save it decided not to so I had to put half this thing together in all of 2 hours.

I think it came out alright in spite of that.

@firgofumbra I can't believe you did half of this in 2 hours! That's seriously impressive. I think it turned out nicely (especially knowing how pressed for time you were!). I had a similar problem with MS recently, only it crashed while saving. I had to start over almost completely =_= but I digress. Your lines are very clean and the overall composition is very easy to read. Well done!

@Kaos_Comics I actually got that reference. XD (I grew up under a rock... and not in the US, I might add) I love the contrast between the intentionally cheesy He-Dude dialogue and the real life person's manner of speech.
