@atlas Oh my, super cute characters. The format of a large panel above a small blurb of text reminds me of a children's picture book, in vertical format. I'm guessing it's an all ages, maybe look into adding a link to it in this forum thread ^_^

Newest page Ch 5 :: Gryphon Ride

The newest page of Oops, is flight! Flying gryphons everywhere! <3

First let me say that your buildings are fantastic. I'm so jelly of how well they are done. The perspective and everything is excellent. The characters also look interesting, I like the effect of the last panel too.

Here is the Latest page for Discount Religion.1

Your style is beautiful!! Very clean and well done greyscale shading aand the characters are well drawn too-- this looks very professional to me! AWEsome work! smiley

This week in Serpent: Merek gets a new hairdo, Wex puts his foot down, aand Barron rides in on his noble steed <3

I really love your use of expressions, i still have problems getting those to look the way i want them to.
but i think you're doing a great job with it c: i also like your backgrounds in your comic. <3
(and the faded out speech-bubble is a really clever idea c: )

Here is the latest page of In the Name of the Creator1

There's an interesting mystery set up in the design of this character right off the get-go: Why are their eyes closed/seared shut? What's with that crazy third eye? What does their armor do? Basically your character's design is really intriguing and that's a great way to get a new reader invested in your comic! Well done! Speaking further, I love that the character's skin tone creates a focal point on the page, in contrast to the rest of it, which is great for informing readers where to start!

The latest page of The Crimson Fly!
This week: A recap of sorts of the first issue!

I like the scenary you gave to this page, it looks like this "Rei" has a very misterious aura the way you drew it.
Is that even his name? I ask too! he could be lying and look how he's just playing there on the table and his finger!

Latest in Final Light

This is quite good, I really like the third panel, the background and the pose of the guy is very nice. The dialogue is quite good too, it gives the reader a sense of whats to come and builds anticipation. I think the shading could be better though. The shading is a little unnatural, try making your brush edges a little sharper. Also the robe of the girl is a bit too embossed and the hair is also also too embossed at the tips but very flat on top. I also think the watermark is a bit distracting, maybe it'd be better to make it more subtle so it doesn't overshadow your work. The facial expressions and anatomy is spot on though! I also like the cute sign you drew in the third panel ^^

Latest update from Sundaze4
I actually updated four pages but this one was the most substantial.

I love your line work! Very nice use contrast and whatnot--- very pleasing to the eye. Hahaha and I also love their expressions! Awesome page!

This week in Serpents Merek, Barron, and Ryder compete for who is the biggest fool on this page! I personally can't decide X)

Firstly, I really like the pacing of your panels @HeSerpenty. This page made me giggle smile (Guy runs by laughing like Nelson from the Simpsons.) I'm really curious now about the rest of the story! Also, Your colouring is really nice and the backgrounds are a good balance of 'clear and detailed' and 'simple and non-distracting'.
Now excuse me, I'm going to go read the rest of your comic wink

Here are my latest page(s) (They don't make sense without one another. You can choose to comment on only one if you'd prefer to be fair wink )

Aw, thanks! I know I don't have to, but I like that you connect the panels by having elements of the next panel (Rei's hair, Max's speech bubbles) pop into the previous one. It gives the reader's eye an automatic place to go and leads them across the page. Also, I like that you play with speech bubbles and that they aren't all the same format in order to denote who's speaking and how (out loud vs. thoughts). Good job!

I was actually hoping to comment on one of your pages earlier in this thread but someone beat me to it! Your style is so cute and charming and the format of your comic is definitely recognizable. Just the fact that you go with something warmer like brown instead of black gives me a sorta cozy feel when I look at it. Maybe this sounds a little weird, but it makes me happy in the same way things like Animal Crossing do!

Here's the latest page of City of Blank4!

@Riko
I LOVE the coloring and over all look of your comic. Honestly it's what I'm trying to strive for in my own but failing at. And that food! The flow is really nice too, I'll have to subscribe and find out more.

This is the latest page for Discount Religion. I'm experimenting with the line and color.

@Riko I thank you, Ma'am, for your wonderful comments on my little comic! How you describe your feelings as you read it reassures the motivations I had when I started that comic! smiley

@Benzy It's not very often that I would describe grown men as large as that guy as "cute", but that's what he is! A gentle giant who knows what he's capable of, but is also SO polite about it. lol And excellent art as always!

My latest from Beasts of Ushin:

@Benzy Oh gosh, thank you so much! I actually like the lighting in your comic a lot though (And especially your drawing style)! But if you're using photoshop, I'd be happy to show you sort of my layers or something to give some ideas on how to go about your coloring!

I use Clip Studio, but I could probably apply some Photoshop stuff to it. I would be THRILLED to see your layers and process though, so if you are willing I'd love to connect and talk about comics and art and such. Or you can make a comic thread, I'm sure a lot of people would like to see that kinda stuff since it's super helpful.

@atlas I think you do a really good job capturing expressions on this page! Especially that fourth panel. He looks so smarmy! What a little punk. Your style reminds me of traditional manga, particularly Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, Urusei yatsura). Nicely done!

Here's the latest page of Reus, wherein we get a sneak peek into Rei's arrival in Regaia.

That's a really nice establishing shot page! I am always intimidated by shots like this because detailed environments are NOT my strong suit-- so I am always super impressed when other people pull it off! I love all all the lights <33

This week in Serpents..... more shenanigans, can Wex fix it, aaaaand just what WILL happen to Merek if Hizruk is really missing? D:
3

@HeSerpenty I enjoy the character designs as well as that mighty creature the soldiers are riding on. I must admit I was a tad confused on which to read first in the panel after "can you fix it?" I read the next panel on the right first and got confused in the panel with the grates though in the end I figured it out.

Here's another sheep related joke.

An intriguing page! I like how the dialogue turns from ordinary chit-chat, to how the cop's wife help set an alleged murderer free. It's like seeing something out of network television! The lineart fits the subject matter quite well, I must say.

Here's my newest page from Strike Pup1:

@Alexandritea this is a really nice page! I really like the mood you create with the color scheme. The red and blue accents in the second panel are especially cool! I do have one suggestion: I think the text would be a little easier to read if the speech bubbles were a little bigger. The words themselves are very mysterious and intriguing though. Good job! ^.^

Here is the latest page of Reus

@agentfink I love the cleanness of the page, it has a very old comics feel ,like the ones I read as a kid, I my self have the pain of having to draw police uniforms so yer i can totally feel this page.

this is my newest page as far as art work goes, but it is also a revamp of my introduction page to make it look more appealing to new readers. ( and if you look closely I'm in my part as the mayor of swipe city) enjoy...
