I can't be the only one who likes to talk a TON about my stories, so feel free to 'write a novel' here or info dump lol.

This panel has very personal meaning for me. It's kind of reminiscent of 'the scream' and that isn't an accident. The blue tone is also a nod to the male lead from a comic I used to have (discontinued, but I intend to remake it) where the male lead loved drawing princesses and only drew in monochromatic blue. I think drawing the girl with this tint, though the context of the story is unknown to most people, is a subtle hint toward her being just as much a princess as anyone else, despite people who might want to change her to fit a beauty standard.

Entire scene setting of Ch2 in AngHell Dela Blackpill...

Akala dressed as fastfood worker = appearance of humility even if she's a goddess worshipped in pre Hispanic Philippines. It's a trope in religions. Like how Jesus was born in a manger. Humble start for the King of the universe. In this case though it's a "counterfeit". As demons like to mock or imitate God.

Fork, knife, plate... long table, eating steak = to contrast the fastfood restaurant. As that's reserved for fine dining elite settings. Also a clue that Akala is far from humble even if she is dressed humbly. I don't think a humble villain exists. In fiction or reality .

entire setting as a whole = should clue you in that it's an illusion. If you actually dream of such a setting, it should trip you up and make you aware you're in a dream unless you're really unconsciously stuck in the illusion. And Akala is an illusion user who can give any elite Uchiha shinobi a run for their money. It's all in her name. Akala = perception; Maya = illusion.

But realistically when you're in a dream, it's all "pre loaded"...

Probably my favourite panel to date.
From Raikiri Chapter 14, of Fuyumi comforting Keanu after a devastating defeat.

Keanu is usually an egotistical show off, but his win/loss ratio is actually pretty low.
His losing streak culminates with a bloody duel that left him badly injured and three of his friends cut open (they survived, fortunately). I've been trying to imply that Keanu's much more sensitive than he lets on, but this is the first time he's lost his composure in front of someone else.

Fuyumi is the opposite; since she met Keanu she's been unable to look him in the eye or even speak to him (she freezes up around boys in general). Over time she's made steps to hold actual conversations with him, and I wanted this to be where she finally overcomes her fear by touching him.

It's a very personal panel for me; I drew it after a really hard day at work when I was feeling very low.
Kind of needed to draw my feelings out and this was the result.
The side of me embracing how far I've come since I started, and the side that keeps having its confidence shattered.

Also, just to clarify, nothing happened between them after this.
Mine is a family comic about bloody violence, harsh language and the occasional innuendo, thank you very much.

Mm... I can't say anything about my current comic because it's ~spoiler-y~ but on my completed stories...

This isn't just this panel, but throughout the entire story. I use shine in character's eyes to indicate humanity. It's a story about two robotic being learning what it means to be human so it's kind of important. The human characters all always have. And with both the robots, it's a scene of love that awakes this humanity within them. Hansel with love for his sister, and Gretel with love for the human boy she's been spending time with.

And in this other story, this panel is super early on. And visually it spells out the end "twist" but we lack the context. The blue hands holding Rune are the fae who created Rune, the character speaking. Rune is the same colour because Rune and the Fae are, indeed, the same character. Rune's head is scribbled out because she isn't the real Rune-- who did exist but she died and the Rune we follow was just created in her image... It's not her, she hasn't created her own identity yet so the visual of herself doesn't have a face yet.

Yeah I've seen long counters but they're bar type. Not like one big long dining table in the middle (unless a big group of people put tables together lol )

This panel is particularly information dense.

The major point is to highlight that the Abyss is incredibly militaristic.

The army is broadly supported by the general population, 3 people in the crowd are seen saluting the passing soldiers, including 2 children.

We have the opinion of our main character on the subject, and she is the only one in the crowd who is slightly horrified by what she has seen. She would have rather not reincarnated in a fantasy world that is about to have a ww1 moment.

Finally, this is a fantasy world so there are things like monsters. I continue to take heavy inspiration from Warhammer 40k, so they also have demon engines. The monster also ties into a plot thread introduced in the next chapter.

I love the way the orangey glow on this one makes me think of sunlight. the girl is finally getting her chance to stand in the sun/spotlight instead of being kept in the background or being stuck playing a supporting role forever. I don't usually do a lot with lighting, but I'm trying to strengthen my weaknesses

This panel represents an older girl encouraging a younger girl to be confident and see herself as beautiful. Their outfits represent the color of two different countries where having dark skin is frowned upon (one is my own) but the women there still sometimes have naturally dark skin. I loved drawing the girl on the right's hair and I put the red bow in it as a homage to snow white. For so long we've been told that only girls with fair skin can be princesses, but this girl is just as much a princess as anyone else, while being almost literally coal black.

most of the markings on Texas's body are not tattoos, yet. she uses makeup to test and see how much she likes wearing a symbol daily before she gets them tatted on for real. However, she does have one real tattoo already on her collar bone (not visible here)

I was frustrated by the fat characters I saw being posted on IG, so I decided to draw my own fat AND (not but) beautiful pinoy queen

I used to draw lots of plus-sized characters analog and i only used one colored pencil for those drawings, so i thought i'd do this drawing all in different shades of blue. I never gave my old drawings faces, so that's an improvement/change I've made now. Otherwise, the concept is the same: Gorgeous monochromatic fat/plus-sized fashionistas
