A few months ago I started posting my novel chapter by chapter. It is titled "Tengoku Sent". I actually started it three years ago in grade eight for a writing contest. That first copy was pretty trash, but I continued writing it thought the year. Then I gave up on it multiple times, then scrapped it all together. Then I picked it back up and started a fresh, with new knowledge of how to write and what I wanted to write. Here's a little break down of the story.
A Kasai (fire) Kitsune (nine tailed fox) named Beatrix is dragged out of a fierce battle by his leader who tells him he must leave, run far away. And so he does. The Kasai Tengoku (God) apears in his dreams to guide him. He is lead to a heard of Catoblepas (dragon and bison mix) and begins a new life with them. Something bad is about to happen, but the Kasai Tengoku warns them in time and they adventure to find a solution.
And so on and so fourth.
The book right now is pretty slow burn. I had fun writing every chapter, but it can be very slow paced for many readers. It is kind of like a fantasy slice of life and adventure mized in one. I think my book might be a tad unique because I devote myself to making sure there are no humans or human like beasts (werewolves, goblins, cyclopeses, etc) and only using animalistic beasts and monsters. I try to mix a bit of some culture and unique perspectives into the book as well. By chapter Fourteen you can tell I'm a Canadian author lol. Please give this a chance if you can or want to. This is also a rough copy so I completely encourage suggestions, comments, tips, and ideas in the comment section! Please tell me if I write anything offensive as I am trying to be a blank slate with absorbing all perspectives and cultures when I write about the beasts from different folktale and mythology. Thank you for your time. Have a good day!
