The future of NSFW on Tapastic?

Firstly, full disclaimer: I do not have a smartphone, and have not seen anything that's app-exclusive. But I keep hearing about pornographic novels on the app, and that makes me wonder...

Will the NSFW rules change for comics?

As far as I know, while we do have the NSFW tag system, straight up porn comics are not allowed even if we tag them. But it doesn't seem right to allow porn novels while not allowing porn comics. I feel the rule should be the same for both, whether it's in favor of porn or against.

What do you think? I'd be especially interested in hearing from people who do have the app.

This is the first time I've heard about such novels on the app. Since I don't know of them and haven't seen them with my own eyes, I'm not sure how pornographic they are, maybe 50 Shades level?

Who here's actually seen them?

Ok, there are possibly sexual novels on the app. (haven't read them, they don't appeal to me) However, there are no pornographic thumbnails. There are shirtless guys, girls in bikinis, and suggestive titles, however that's no worse than a few series already existing on Tapastic.

@CyndiFoster Yeah, I don't mean thumbnails. I mean the actual content of the novel. (This is completely unrelated to my recent tweet XD) Thanks for the screenshot though, it's good to have someone who has the app.

Hm, content wise is interesting. I think mostly it wasn't allowed in comic form because it's visual and Tapastic was trying to maintain a more inclusive age rating. However, now that they are labeled at a higher age rate and novels aren't visual, it'd make sense to me that novels are ok to get away with it. I don't like those novels and it's not my cup of tea, however I can see that since they aren't visual (other than thumbnails) they can get away with it.

I'm not sure if the content of a novel can be as explicit as imagery in a comic, but I do agree, it does not seem right.
I would be interested to hear what the staff's opinion is on this matter.

It reads like a bad fan fic to me. OR you know, there are better quality fan fics out there than this. : P

Wow! So I never knew about any of that! I read the rules and it said no graphic sex. I was asuming that you couldn't actually show it but you can show kissing and close to it but not full graphic. The novel thing I guess does have to do with visuals?

I understand what being said though but it may have something to do with the age limit. Although I edit my comics so that there no graphic but in that being said I know drunk duck actually states no one under 13 can get an account and all adult comics have an A on it. And because of the birthdate so it's unviewable unless 18.

I don't see that anywhere on taptastic so I wouldn't know what they thought of it., maybe it was not aware or just was okay to post? The porn comic? I never even knew tap allowed anything that graphic

Some might be more lenient than others? I've seen this on the front page of the popular and trending a couple times, you'd assume they would see it, but maybe they weren't monitoring the front page that day? Then again, it's not... as graphic as it could be.
