Does anyone know how the daily views work on Tapas and Webtoon? If you have 5 episodes published, and someone reads all 5 episodes in one day, does that count as 1 view or 5? Basically, is each episode viewed equal to a daily view?
Your example would count as 5 views.
But there's a chance that if it's through a link that readers can view it without activated accounts... like Facebook.... the view count might not be accurate.
Thanks! I love your waf!
I think non-Tapas user views count?
We've tested it from our groups Facebook account and it never seems to add up correctly. We guess it's something about the link. We couldn't figure out Tumblr links accuracy either.
So if someone visits the same page twice, in the same day, is that one view or two?
That I'm pretty sure counts as one, since it recognizes the IP address of the viewer.
But if this person came back on a second day, that would count?
I think if that second day was months removed.I could have sworn I read about a fall-off point somewhere, but I can't quite remember.
Thanks! Need a Bible for this....
That's a weird thing though... Say my friend and his two roommates all look at it on the same day... they share an IP address right? That's reducing the view count.
I know it's a silly example for big time creators but it matters when you have more pairs of socks than subscribers.
I have about the same.... socks and subs. Slightly less undershorts.
I've given up trying to figure out the exact details. Tapas view count is like quantum mechanics or kabbalistic demon summoning. Its just beyond me.
