In the words of "Jazza" in one of his videos: Own your style.
It comes down to honesty with yourself. If you can look at the work and, with complete honesty, say to yourself "I am happy with it", then go ahead and stick with it and let it evolve naturally.
There may come a day that you think "Let me experiment and add more detail". When that day comes, you will explore your style's evolution in a natural and enjoyable way.
There really is little point to arting if you do not enjoy it (unless it's your literal job). Of all things that you could choose to do with your spare time, you chose to sit down and draw a comic. You chose to spend hours creating something people will consume in five seconds and move on from. If you add into that a sense of "It was such a grudge activity and chore", I really don't see that as "noble" in any way.
Just this morning I've been toying with the question: How much detail do I go to when I draw a comic? If I do a one piece, I can go balls to the wall with it but when it comes to the comic, it's about telling a story and not show casing my skill. I can't put out garbage but adding detail to something that honestly does not add to the story and experience of the story is pointless.
Kurokoi says it well: "I think, overall, the line between simplicity and mediocrity is measured purely by your ability to do something and your willingness or general effort made towards that"
