Coco Doe has a funny story. So basically when writing I was like "what decisions would I do as a girl?"... but then I ended up writing my sister

Fufie, my co-writer, PANDA WHITE wrote herself in unknowingly. I was like "Fufie is totally your self-insert" and she was like "OHHHHH NOW I SEE IT!!!"

Alicia Palmero: Heavily inspired by me, my trauma and depression, burnout, etc

Andrew Palmero: Heavily inspired by my older brother, his really kind and gentle energy and his undiagnosed nuerodivergence, except that Andrew is much much more extroverted than my brother

Mrs. Moon: heavily inspired by my paternal grandmother in terms of housekeeping habits, but otherwise, just my own imagination

I remember a similar thread not too long ago. I know I have A LOT of irl inspiration for characters and self inserts especially in my old completed comics. If I were to list them all, might get called out for image spamming.

The current comic I'm working on has 0 self inserts and only 1 future character so far to be introduced that's inspired by someone irl. If I'm gonna self insert, this guy / gal is gonna be a villain, not a hero.

Anyway...

She is the principal of the school I went to. Name changed... and face aged to look 20 years younger.

A girl I had one sided feelings for back in the day. This was her actual boyfriend history when I met her. Name and face changed. Faces of her ex boyfriends also changed.

Another girl I had a crush on back in the day. Face changed. The real one is more attractive. she could have represented her country in miss universe.

Event is fictional but set in ww2 japanese occupied Philippines. My grandpa was 1LT in USAFFE during ww2. My grandma was running around the jungle together with Filipino guerillas. I was told they didn't stay in 1 spot more than 4 hours.

Hi! Well, my real-life inspiratins to make these stories could be the actual generations or the injustice in the world (or very good artists that gain money by just making 1 drawing). These things are one of many things that motivate me to continue and improve
