I didn't start doing human drawings until I got into Spider-Man and Hulk comics. Mark Bagley, John Romita Jr, and Mike Deodato were big influences on me back then.
Yep, great influences for me too, along with Jack King Kirby, Scott Campbell, Adam Hughes, Steve Hughes, John Byrne, Steve Rude, Ed McGuiness and dammit, almost all of the DC, Marvel, Image comics artists from the 1980s-2000s.
Nice! I can definitely see some Ed McGuiness influence in Zigadias's design.
I like Arthur Adams a lot too. He did some great Godzilla art for Dark Horse Comics back in the day. Man...there were so many great artists that came out of those years.
I really appreciate Jack Kirby now more than I did before. The guy had a knack for eye-catching cover art. Even though I've got a lot of anime style influence too, I just love his poses. I like to emulate it whenever I can for my cover art.

Never got into Anime and Manga much growing up, just a couple of Street Fighter compendium books, a few Dragon BallZ and Pokemon comics, the early stuff.
I didn't really get into manga and anime until I was late into my teenage years. As a kid I definitely read a lot more western comics. Like Calvin and Hobbes. I read a ton of Calvin and Hobbes.
Ha, yeah. Calvin and Hobbes was a staple for me back in the 80s and 90s, along with Hagar, Garfield and so many more.
