This thread feels like a friendly study group to me, which is I think the thing I was most hoping to find on these forums . I'm so glad you started it!!
A backgrounds thread is something personally I would watch carefully (and maybe share my techniques for the world's lowest effort backgrounds lol! Scribble! Blur!), but likely wouldn't have time for out of comic prompts. I bet it would be ridiculously helpful... and a lot of us (my fellow background dreaders) are curious about what you background geniuses are up to .
Edit: I'm specifically curious about how people that use 3D that draw over it work... and also what kinds of brushes folks with the painterly backgrounds use . I bet there's a crazy of tips and tricks that people have independently figured out.
