The Sketch a Day Thread!

After reading @abigaillmartin ´s topic about Disney style I rivisited
Paris Christou´s page. He is the teacher of the first digital drawing
course that I did 10 years ago and he has a very Disney like style.

So I decided to buy another one of his courses yesterday.
The great thing about his lessons is he jumps right in, it´s
easy to follow and you don´t have to fight through theory or
endless warm up lessons before getting to the interesting parts.

Here is my sketch of one of his characters for a coloring lesson

And this is how I got before. There is nothing new that I learned
so far, I would do a lot of the steps differently, especially the
flat color part but also the line art.

Rendering part 1 is done, I really need all my willpower to use the airbrush,
working like this couldn´t be more against my nature. But I like how it
looks so far

Next step in the coloring process.
I´m off to play 2 shows this weekend, I´ll take some drawing
stuff with me. I normally do traditional sketching when
I´m on the road, but I think I´ll take the ipad this time
to practice the airbrush

What instruments do you play?

I play piano and Irish flute.

And I really want to learn the drums.

Yeah, 2 shows, one was in Cologne Germany and it was great and really emotional.
The 2nd one was in Luxembourg, and I had to drive through Belgium on the way
there and on the way back through Belgium and then the Netherlands to get back
home, so I was in 4 countries this weekend

I play upright bass in that band, I sing and play acoustic guitar in my other bands

Back at the drawing table, drinking coffee and trying to recover from the
last weekend.

I´m doing some quick sketches for a story I´m working on. This guy is getting
married to the wrong woman.
