It looks like what they did to SmackJeeves. I hated that layout and it made a lot of creators leave the site because it was unfriendly to them. If this is as similar as it looks I think I'll have to move comic sites again

oh.... Also (I just noticed)... Tapas is a great place for creators to get support. How is that supposed to happen if you hide the support button??? Like... hello???? why would you hide it?????

I think it can be a pain depending on how the site's built. It's not really an excuse, but I sort of understand it sometimes.

Part of the minority here, but I actually like it! Definitely miss banners, and wish the subscribe button was easier to find, but I like the cleaner look tbh...

At first I was pretty excited when I saw all that white cuz I was like "oh shoot--does this mean I can finally have darkmode??" because every site with this much white gives you dark mode but nope. Still no darkmode.

Honestly I'd be happier about it if I had had more ways to change the color and customize my own pages. So my space feels like my own. Right now it just has my art on it, but...my art is black and white (emphasis on white) and with the white everywhere else it's kind of blinding right now.

But I'll be in the minority in that I don't miss the side banner with all the chapters and that. It felt pretty dated and weird, like an old website with frames. However, I won't say this is better because it now feels like there's no navigation except to scroll one step forward or back.

I know... I don't have advanced knowledge of programming, but I've studied the basics, and I understand it can be a real challenge... But, you know, seems to me as if they have changed the whole code. Before, you could find titles in a search and they were displayed as in a "carrousel" of photos. Now it's like, they've made the code responsive to the screen, and titles in searches just pile up one next to the other vertically (instead of horizontally), making it look untidy. As if you grabbed a pile of papers and just threw it onto your desktop. You know what I mean? That way of "piling" things are meant for mobile code, where only one title it's shown and you scroll down. But for PC it's a big NO-NO.

ugggghhhhh i feel so frustrated...

They also hid the "support" button... you know how much that will affect creators?? *sigh

I'm just glad I didn't start to work on my banner -__-

i wish that there was a dark mode because the white background is very bright and tires out my eyes. its hard to focus on the comics and i wish there was a dark mode option that is easier on the eyes. thanks

Frankly, what I'm worried about the most, is the impact on views.
The redesign of the front page doesn't do much for your average shit kicker.
I'm pretty sure that if you're not premium, you're going to see a drop in views.
I could be wrong, but I'm putting money that I'll see a 30% drop at the very least.
Let's see what happens on next update day.
