We all have them (I assume this is universal), the foreign drama that nobody else will watch, the 80's grindhouse film you think is a masterpiece, the three episode anime that blew you mind and nobody else has seen
So if you could give one story a little more love from the world, what would it be?
For me, it's the manga Bokura no Kiseki. I've been reading it for years and it's 400+ pages in.
It's sort of Isekai before Isekai, but it's everything I would want from that sort of story. Characters who died in a fantasy world, killed in an attack with no warning or explanation, are reincarnated into modern day Japan. It's got some jokes, but it's targeted towards an adult audience and is mostly tense intrigue as the characters try to understand why they died, and explored the conflict between the trauma and values of their memories and realizing they now have lives in the modern day world and can't act on the feudal values in their memories. It's a great mystery, a great character drama, and has some romance that I, not usually a romance reader, legitimately love.
It's also one of the best in the genderflip reincarnation IMO because it's... such a minor part of the story. The fact that the main character was a princess and is now a teen boy is played for the drama of him being ex-royalty rather than cheap jokes.
The biggest barrier to new readers tends to be that it's... very confusing to new readers. It's got a huge cast, most with multiple lives, and overlooked characters often turn into key players. Kumeta-sensei also has... a bit of sameface, which doesn't help. I've been working on a character chart to help new readers keep up. If you're interested, I'll link it here. It isn't released in English officially, but there are fan translations.

So tell me about your beloved series and why I should read/watch/play/hear it!
