Starting to become more accepting with the slow periods in my art. Instead of trying to "get past" them I'm much more comfortable with moments where visual art isn't happening. I think it's necessary for me to develop sustainable improvements to my work while creating fresh work.

working in a candy store on halloween is unpleasant. we've had several folks today scolding us for not having free candy to give out when folks have been coming in trick or treating since this morning. one guy in particular kept talking about how we should be "ashamed of ourselves" and literally all we could do was just laugh after he left. i mean i get its halloween but the attitude from parents in particular is always amazing to me meanwhile the kids are disappointed but move on pretty quick. i dont get it.

it would also be nice if folks could be nore sanitary about candy shopping and not stick their bare hands into bins and containers when gloves, scoops and tongs are provided not to mention leaving half eaten candy laying around. i dont think its too much to ask

ota funny because its a holiday for the kids but they take it so personally for whatever reason but its like okay??? at this point im not even mad its just like i hope whatever grinch ruined tour halloween as a kid doesnt nake u do the same

How dare you want to make money? What's the point of store if not to get free things?

On a serious note, the best is to ignore them and later gossip with your friends/ co workers, there will always be someone to complain about something

lol for sure! for the most part we already knew what was what behind the scenes so it's no skin off our nose for the most part i think all of us were just surprised by the sheer number of grumpy parents especially with the number of cheaper stores that were walking distance away to make up for it

like we're in a mall and other stores were running out to a point of coming to us to buy more candy for their trick or treating stock so it's like if all these places are runnin out maybe it might be best to grab something cheap from the pharmacy or something

but ah well what's done is done plus we got to see a lot of cool costumes come thru

Today is shaping up to be a long dull day...forgot my phone(at home) so I cant log onto Twitter and get my daily shenanigans.

So I keep looking at the clock and praying for lunch time coz it's a little much to pray that next [week on] Friday comes so I can take another day off(I just took last Friday off).

I really feel like a salad but leary to go to this restaurant to get one coz they put in ten tons of stalk material as opposed to actual lettuce.

@Shanny8 Sometimes you really can't replace legit lettuce.

My capoeira instructor is happy with my overall light movement but wants me to work on drilling much slower and striking more accurate. I always think about how these kinds of improvements will improve my perspective on the other arts.
