Regarding main stream comics on Tapas.
here has been a Witchblade comic on Tapas for probably a year now, and hardly anyone has noticed. That's one if the biggest franchise names to come out of Image.
Here is the thing about mainstream. It basically boils down to two companies, DC and Marvel. Both of them have their own online platforms that they market. I think that Archie Comics sort of showed the way in that regard. I'm not sure, but I think Dark Horse might as well. Among the top five larger comic publishers in the West, that only leaves Image which is sort if an oddball because of its creator-owned model that makes reaching out to other platforms possible. Possible doors not mean the same thing as viable. If Teen Witchblade was a test of the viability of Tapas for mainstream comic titles, then the test failed and other Image titles will not follow anytime soon. That eliminates Marvel, DC, Archie, Image, and maybe Dark Horse. Is there anybody left to worry about?
