It is really not that hard... You just do something you're already doing, like post something ... Then numbers accrue.

MUSHROOM MUSHROOM!

I have YouTube-related PTSD flashbacks from this comment

Probably because of that rewrite of someone else's novel he posted, it was called Worm or something like that. Although it had a warning in the description, indicating it was another author's work that he adapted.

edit:

This was the novel linked in his Tapas work: https://parahumans.wordpress.com/4

I haven't read it, just skimmed over the description.

oh wow, no wonder he's been less active. i thought it was an issue he had deal to irl but this is something i'd never thought of.

anyways, how's everyone doing? i've been stuck in my own home for two months due to quarantine but that's how my summer always looks like.

I'm somewhere in the middle of "look at me, being all productive!" and "I just want to lie in my bed whole day long doing nothing" :nervous_candy:

I have a big enough back log of updates that I’m currently doing ref sheets for characters that I never did cause I didn’t think they’d have an appearance till my 50th rewrite where I said “guess I’ll give the plot a good kick in the rear.”

Didn’t do the quarantine tango for nearly as long as anyone else because my work is “essential” Being eyeglasses.

Nah, it's like a basic grammar for 2 y.o., I just downloaded a lot of things on Memrise and look through them  Mandarin.

It’s about a couple of things since is a long story covering several arcs (books?) but the first arc is about found families and The MC dealing with finding out his kind of racist but no Idea how to deal with it due to trama.

Also lizard people

I majored in Chinese language and culture, but I graduated 7 years ago and haven't spoke a word since  So I wanna revive at least a bit of the language I know. I already forgot all French I know, it would be a waste to forget Chinese :joy:

that's cool. self awareness. also lizard people. a tiny gecko jumped on my shoulder, maybe it's a sign that we were meant to meet this faithful time.

Eh, I had to go somewhere after school. I was really afraid my exam results would be not so good and I had no idea where to go to study. My best friend decided to go to China, because we all know how everything soon will be China and Chinese interpreters will be making a lot of money (no). I was always pretty good with languages, so I went too
I also always dreamed of Japan, and to the girl from not that big Russian city China seemed pretty close to Japan in culture, as, you know, being Asia (yeah, I had no internet back then) :joy:

Yaaaaaasssss the lizards speak to you!

It’s always been a subject that is Interesting to me cause it always bugged me that when a character finds out their rasist they magically stop being racists as part of their development, but I grew up in an unsteady environment Like that and it’s a very long road of self discovery and trying to understand why your brain thinks the way it does so you can stop it from continuing. I’m hoping the story will be helpful to those going through a similar road of self awareness  but that would imply I’m talented enough to do that

ah, i understand. i also thought japan and china were the same thing when i was kid, and i always wanted to wear traditional chinese clothes whenever it's UN day in our school and got jealous at my cousins since they were studying at a school where chinese (idk which one) was being taught (although, once the chinese teachers have left and was now being run by the locals, it now only teaches numbers and some alphabets in the elementary.)

Q>Q this is scary to think about but you're right.

with how you fluent with english, that with chinese from your college year and hopefully soon, and i think it's going to be easier this time since you already experienced the language before, and french tho forgotten and also russian, your native. you are what i aim to be.

Have you went to japan?

i understand. once a habit or a way of thinking has been ingrained it's hard to get rid of especially in a place where it's being practiced in a day to day basis. I experienced that and it's really hard when you're the only one questioning it, picking out the faulty reasons and beliefs as to why this thing is being discriminated. i also realize that i still have a long way to go with acceptance but i feel like im close.

Honestly, i think you're going to be fine. You have the experience and with enough research with racism and other people finding faults of their racist narrative and come to terms with it and etc., you'll do great.

Awwwww thank you so much! :sob: I really appreciate that! Acceptance is hard for some people even when they >want< to be accepting. It’s good to always be trying to improve yourself and work and asking yourself if you can do better! ^^

( =_=) today is one of those days...

• woke up late
•coworkers called in, have to do their work
•lights went out in housekeeping closet
•go to change them
• wrong bulb size
•drop bulb on accident, breaks

Edit.
• bulbs don't work. Ballast is out.

no problem. im actually interested with your comic. i really like reading social issues in a fictional or contemporary setting. so do you mind if you could drop a link so i can subscribe?. don't stop! believe it!

Hahah, oh no, basically I was always bad with anything math, and I was fortunate enough to go to school with intensive English study. So it's like, I remembered English whether I like it or not (but my grammar is still not great). The same with Chinese, I had to know at least something to study in the university and pass exams
I liked French, but my awesome teacher was replaced by a teacher I dislike, so I went from a French fangirling to zero pretty quickly. And all Japanese I know is from anime, lol. So now I want to learn at least some Japanese and German so I can talk or pass the easiest exams
I am totally subbed to all the people on YouTube who are learning a few languages simultaneously :joy:

Too bad, I've never been to Japan! Going to Japan is really pricey :disappointed_relieved: still hope to go there some day!

You are from Philippines, if I remember correctly? What languages would you like to learn?

Mega...church? Is this a new metal band name?
Jk, but I had to Google it and I had no idea those exist D:

Yeah it's just a name they use to describe churches with big congregations.

you do love learning languages. you're really passionate, especially with the way you speak about it. Achieve your goals! Do it!

I've never been to japan either but it's still a dream im hoping to accomplish. go to japan and take my spirit with you.

ah, you remembered and im sorry for not being active with the tapas forums. Still not used to it. I really like to learn japanese, which is obvious, so i can watch all the cat-related news they always seem to put out even during the pandemic. also read manga and watch anime. Maybe Korean because i like their food. Also russian because of you. that's all i can think about.
