Amazon/eBay? I dunno where you live, but I just googled "buy nibs for Wacom pen" and it showed I can even buy them in a local electronics chain store and on all our Amazon analog sites.
Usually Amazon is alright--I'd just really check on the reviews to make sure that the seller is legit.
yeah thats about what i was thinking or walmart but I'll do some shopping around and see what i can find. @rajillustration @Kelheor thank you ^^
Hi... I’m trying to use twitter again after I gave up on it for a few years, and made a new banner and profile picture for it!
It's time for another retro.
What went well?1. Each Day I did a little work on both of my wip drawings2. Starting to add more distortion shading to my portraits to make them expressive3. A lot of self-reflective journaling
What could be done better?1. Building more models to for possible future use.
Some day I will recall that I am not able to finish an illustration in one day right before starting it
No retro this week. Decided I'm going to start doing these bi-weekly for now.
Been anxious and foggy the last few weeks, which aren't the kinds of expressions I want to share in my art. Haven't had the same energy since that phoenix drawing which was probably my best piece yet.
As much as I love taking on more challenging and complicated drawings, I need to learn to give myself more space to feel things. And also come back to what I believe is my best possible work.
Sorry for the mini blurb. Feeling much better today though and enjoying working on some of my in-progress art again.
Sad to know you've lost the spark, but we cannot be at our best all the time! It's hard to just jump and start something new, I really feel you with this one, every time I feel like I made something better/more challenging than usual I feel more empty inside. That's why I have problems finishing illustrations, I have so much passion when I start them, but then it wears away leaving me with either an unfinished picture that now looks too intimidating to finish or a finished picture and a feeling of how the hell am I suppose to be better than that now It's nice to know you're better now though, hope it will pass soon enough and you will rise like a phoenix
As for me I am continuing my journaling, but I missed 4 days or yoga in a row and picked it up only yesterday so I decided to imitate your retro in a free form and wrote what went good and bad this week, where the bad was failed yoga
I agreed with that until end game happened and we saw thor then o-o
It's awesome that you were able to pick back up on the yoga practices after the setback. Also coming back with more resources. I think that It'll lead to something awesome.Hopefully your retro will include all the progress you've made coloring.
I feel like I usually don't allow myself to feel bad when things are off. This is definitely good self-acceptance opportunity.
Happy birthday to meee /just tryna feel not alone/
Congrats on being born!
Well happy birthday!!!
It also helps that with drawing it’s okay to draw things that won’t essentially be posted online
Think as creators we want to share everything we do but that can also in a way burden us mentally with having to do “the best we can because this is being shown to people” I’m a big sufferer of this and recently tried avoiding it
So during your break if you still want to draw that could be a way to go, and also it’s okay to step away from the pencil now and again, lol; I have to tell myself this a lot too, and weirdly enough my biggest creative bursts of energy happens when I leave drawing for a little bit and actually do other things.
@Reveal Thanks for the feedback! This is definitely a good point point. I've actually been sort of guilty of the opposite.
I haven't shared drawings (or attempted) unless they're my best ideas. The good thing about this is I felt safer sharing them. I think I've just outgrown this mindset and need to share some of my ok but not best ideas in a way that can be useful to others, and being more social. I think rather than taking a break I just need to make some changes. Speaking of which...
RetrospectiveWhat went well?1. Started doodling and sharing quicker expression pieces2. Added some new techniques to my traditional rendering
What can be done better?1. The composition and presentation wasn't as entertaining on the horse drawing as it was with the phoenix one.
Happy to the day of your birth
and Happy Birthday! You were the fastest to make it out and be born; totally worth celebrating lol, but really, enjoy though
still upset they took it off Netflix... really don't want to pay another subscription... especially for one show..
