SO GLAD it's Friday...this week has been kicking my butt. Hasn't particularly been busy at the RL gig, but I'm just tired from all the mess that has been going during and after the holidays. Only suck part is I'll be working through this month without taking any extra time off(reserving that for in March when I'll need it).
No sports ball games for me this weekend, so I'll be sitting back, watching streaming TV, movies, trying to art stuffs, and playing ACNH. Feel a little better since I've paid a sizeable chunk on my credit card- bringing me closer to my goal of being stress/debt free by the end of this year...
Got an e-mail from this guy who runs this small local con; when Covid hit, they decided not to do the show(2020) and the mall where it usually has been held was closed down(2 yrs)...since then, some other company has bought the [slowly dying] mall and at this point, I dont think the show will ever be revived. Dude is offering some discount for a venue he's working with the next state over...I'm mulling over it. One- it's a whole 'nother state over, and I'm still kinda leary about doing something of that nature during this pandemic...plus there would be extra costs(gas for travel, hotel/lodging, and food); I havent done a show out of state in a LONG while and it would really suck if I didnt make any profit.
But I also think I might do well and a change of scenery would be a refresher, and who knows- if I do good at this show this could be the start of me venturing outside my regular zones. The show itself is in July and I could have a new book done by then(plus some prints I've had finished since 2020 but haven't printed them yet)...
