Decided for the time being I will keep posting to Instagram...I'll just keep posting snippets of my work.
I thought about doing a Cara account(still thinking about it) but Cara more or less, is mostly a portfolio type site- where as I need daily/weekly traffic(via a Twitter/Bluesky/Facebook type site) to help my presence grow. For some artists having a Cara account would work when engaging in events like Portfolio Day, but I dont engage in that because I'm not looking to hire myself out like that(I'm perfectly content doing my own projects right now, though doing some commissions wouldn't hurt).
Been stressing over the last couple months coz finances have been tight(the cost of stuffs have been pretty HIGH); my health, as I suspected, has faltered back over to the "needs attention" side...finally hit a point where I had to make a sacrifice plan to get things under control- so I found a new storage place where the costs are LOW, and will be moving my stuffs from the old storage spot to the new one- which will save me a good bit of money. Also gonna switch over to a new cell phone provider in an attempt to shave off/save a few more dollars; I've already changed a utility plan & looking to see whether it actually saves me some money(and how much)...so by the end of next month I should start to be able to calm down.
Though my internet bill went up by $12.
I also applied for a part time job, but I doubt if I get it- a lot of places that are hiring part time want you to be able to work when THEY want/need you to work and not when YOU are available to work; it's a movie theater(I've worked at a movie theater before). I would be sacrificing a portion of my weekends and not being able to do art stuffs all day, but my goal is to try to get my finances back under control...if I dont get it, I'm kinda good with that as well coz it's not like I'm doing it because I love working on the weekends(working non art stuffs Monday thru Friday is enough).
Currently working on a piece, but allowing myself extra time to take care of things like moving the storage stuff over the next couple of weeks...on the brighter side, I secured the 5th of July as an off day/vacation day so that I can have a 4 day holiday weekend. The current piece is a fan art piece; once I'm done with that, I get to work on an idea/piece that has been bouncing in my head since late April(I hope I can pull it off).
