not an owner of any mac products myself so thats why ive been hunting alternatives or seeing how much it'd cost just to get like fl studio mobile (which looking now is about 15 bucks)

there were a few beatmaker apps i used to play around with back around maybe 2015-2019 but they're a little harder to find again and i'd prefer ones where it's easy to use but also has a decent amount of like editing options. worst comes to worst i'll probably just drag myself back to the pc demo for fl since it at least lets you save your stuff. it'll just be a matter of finding tutorials that i can actually keep up with or understand

I´m asking because I didn´t know Garage band costs money, it was installed on every mac that I ever owned,
I never used it because I always used logic, but I just checked if I have it

oh yeah no garage is still free to use afaik it might just be certain sound packs i guess that cost money but im also pretty sure if i want it on a non mac device i'd probably have to figure out apks or something which i am not confident enough to attempt

Oh yeah, the tax money that we thought we were supposed to pay this month- it's already been covered by our escrow, so I haven't been stressing over that for a minute; just trying to figure what is going to happen for this Thanksgiving holiday...food prices have been going up and this shitty administration(and corporate greed) is the root of it.

Finished a piece a few days ago so I'm taking time to recharge- going to try to finish off the 80s Rogue piece before this month is over, then start on what may be my final art piece of 2025; I thought about making it The Stingers piece (Jem) that I want to do but I know that one is going to take at least a couple of months in its execution...so I'll most likely put that one off until after the new year. I might do a variant on a Scarlet Witch piece that I did back in 2023 because a new costume/outfit has been revealed and I LIKE it.

Been dragging my feet about putting up the final shelves in my room & a wall medicine cabinet in my bathroom- I think I might try to get to doing that because my brother who still lives in our hometown is coming to visit in a few weeks. I want to get the new armoire but because high prices of food I'm having to pace myself and plan out a "perfect financial time" to get it.

Started and finished another piece that wasn't the Rogue 80s piece...put everything on hold because I've been low key sick- I have enough energy/power to work at my day job(my off days are locked in for the rest of the year) but I've been sliding in bed & crashing the past few nights; sleep is good but I end up waking up tossing and turning for about a hour or more before my alarm goes off coz my nasal passages get dry, making it hard for me to breathe.

Trying to get better because a family member is coming in town this weekend to visit and then there's the whole matter of the Thanksgiving holiday next week(we decided to do things but try to keep it as low cost as possible)...finally got the tool I needed to take down the towel rack in my bathroom, but now I gotta remove the wall anchor studs and patch up the holes(not to forget paint over it) before I can hang up the wall cabinet- trying to get better so that I can finish that off.

UPDATE: Patched up the holes, so I'll paint it this Saturday then hang up the cabinet on Sunday...

Feeling a lot better except that I had to back fam's vehicle in the garage so that we can take a flat tire off and air it up enough to get them to the automotive center so that they can get new tires(TOMORROW); my nose is still jacked up and even worse- the exhaust from their car is AWFUL so it's really fucking with me.

Gonna turn on this humidifier so I can get my nose moist..!

Had a harrowing experience in real life. And now shouldered with more responsibilities, I may have less time for my comic work.. or not (I don't know) But I know I had too much time watching videos. I do missed those carefree days... Right now I'm more pumped to finish my upcoming pages. I had to stop being perfectionist and start inking and embrace the slight jankiness.

@allenT hope you can figure it all out and find some balance- I'm still trying myself...

Welp my brother made it by this evening & we had good talks as usual; I ended up eating some Pizza Hut(that didnt agree with my stomach- I'm NEVER eating Pizza Hut again) and crashed coz I had to be in at my day job EARLY this morning.

Other than hanging up the bathroom wall cabinet and doing some [upcoming] holiday food shopping, my main plan is to be lazy and try to get some rest- but I still gotta wash my bedsheets(from when I was sick earlier this week); if I do work on ANY art over this weekend and into next week it's gonna be finishing off the 80s Rogue piece that I keep putting to the side because I'm trying to figure out what to do for the background.

Feeling kinda good coz I have a couple more payments on my desk purchase and I'm DONE; I paid off my XP Pen tablet last month so going into the new year I'll have a little more monies to do stuffs with...but then I also planned to get a new desk chair next year

@Lensing I want to draw the line at $500 but I also want to find one that has some of the features I have on my current chair(rising & rotating arm rests, ergonomic) AND I need it to support heavier weight- I'm not big, but after having my current chair for almost eight yrs, it starts to lower itself at times; I really need the lock feature to LOCK.

I had to deal with an uncomfy chair when I called my self getting this really slick looking gamer chair- just aesthetics, NO COMFORT...and then it started dropping; I got rid of it REAL QUICK after 6months.

@kuro I listen to whatever gets me in the mood...lately when working on art I've been listening to 80s songs, anime tracks, or house/EDM music or mixes.

mentally preparing for hell week (black friday week) and like everything that's gonna come after so doing everything in my power to just take it easy where i can today. will say on one hand i'm very happy coz more hours means more money so my bills will be paid and by god did i need it lol but this week alone has like four or five days i think that are full day ~8+ hour shifts so i'm like desperately trying to figure out how i'm gonna manage that especially in terms of lunch coz i lowkey dont have money and idk what i could meal prep to bring with me coz idk how to work the microwave they got at the job and my body has been extra picky about what goes into it with like radiating pain if my guts not ok (like up to the jaw and shoulders)

offside tho i'm like going through a weird (but i think good weird) rekindling of love for comics and art and stuff and like wanting to get back into working on those things again properly myself but it feels so ill timed since it's smack in the middle of the holiday crazies so i'm like scared. it probably will mran more writing and doodling in my sketchbooks and notebooks but after so long i know they could use the tlc it's just like...paving myself and not getting too caught up in one thing or another lol

also the music Q honestly i feel like i continue to be a listens to almost anything person to the point even i look at something on one of my playlists and am like "what was i thinking" then get through it and i'm like "ohh i was thinking this is good and it is (at least imo)"

lately tho it's still kinda broad so i'm bouncing from jungle dnb, breakore and hardstyle to hyperpop, kpop and shiny music to like sprinkles of metal and then after catching up on dispatch i added like three four different song from thot squad to the list (literally been using hoes depressed as a mood booster and it works ¯_(ツ)_/¯ )

also keep accidentally finding people making bangers on tiktok so i'm out here saving and listening to their stuff too to the point it's got me looking for daw's to mash out some stuff of my own even if it'll probably never touch any ears besides mine (found one tho just gotta like...figure out how to work it xD )

I am also a HUGE listener of classical music.

I like a lot of kinds. Musicals too. Both from film and broadway. I get that from my mom.

I listen to EDM, rap (mostly trap and drill), dancehall, modern pop, modern rock, and a pinch of everything else. It depends on the composition of the track. I treat lyrics as a bonus since some of my tracks have no lyrics.

This is me...despite being sick(it was low key, so I was still able to work- I just stayed away from people) I still banged out some good hours; next week with the holiday things get messed with coz I'm home Thursday but while I'm in early on Friday, I'm only working 4 hours(I really wish they'd just close the office on the Friday after the holiday)...I get paid for Thursday and I'm using PTO for 4 hours on Friday so that I can leave early coz no one is really going to be there.

Lately I've been listening to the latest Deftones album...just downloaded the last Phantogram album(dropped last year); planning on nixing Spotify & picking up Tidal next year- I'm hoping Tidal has a wide range of music as well.

I tested the new chair of my brother and went to a store to test chairs but I didn´t
feel like they are good enough. It makes sense to pay some more and get a proper
one
