Put up the second LED light rod- also cleared a box & put my figures on the shelf...gonna mosey over to the storage tomorrow and pick up a box that has my books, and my toy Speed Racer Mach 5 car.

Welp DIDN'T grab the Mach 5 and the books- went to the movies yesterday afternoon and the movie started late so by the time I got out I was tired and focusing on just trying to get lunch meat for sandwiches for work...I am taking Friday off this week, so I think I may try to slide over to the storage between Thursday night & Friday.

Finally got the opportunity to order some more work pants- had 2 pair of work khakis that I had since 2018 and they're basically on their last leg(pun intended); I bought 2 more in 2020...the inside lining on the waist of one of them has gone to shit. I went by the store where I usually get my work pants and work shirts- only to find out they quietly CLOSED after I had moved out of the area; I found a site where I could order 2 pair(different brand, but affordable) so I'm a little less stressed...lately, it has been an issue trying to get casual work clothing online- the selection currently SUCKS.

finally got myself to start posting art online again and it's been feeling pretty good but also running into a new crisis where i want to yap about current interests and ocs but fighting the thoughts of "no thats cringe" seems to be the new battle. which is funny coz on the one hand i genuinely do not care but on the other the thought of being perceived specifically by those who would try to rain on my parade when i just wanna have fun would do nothing but piss me off and i dont wanna deal with that

i'm know the obvious solution is just to lean into "f*ck it we ball" mode and yap anyways it's just regaining the guts to follow through

What feels cringe about it?

The only real cure for rain (piss) on parade people and trolls is to never read comments
and I think that´s a tactic that a lot of successful creators follow

i think it's less about seeing anything i enjoy as cringe and more fighting the fandom cycle as one whose been through them for years. coz usually i can fight the temptation to look at comments or react to things that are obvious bait or whatever else but "big red button" syndrome is also a thing

that and then like seeking other folks to share interests with that are on a similar wavelength and in a reasonably close age range coz it's just nice to have like one or two fellow freaks to talk about "the thing" with and i kind of havent had it for a bit which is probably the main thing taking such a toll

Ordered another set of the khaki pants so that way I'd be good in case some else happened to the ones I bought in 2020(plus they were on sale & cost a little less than the first 2 pair I bought last week); finally grabbed the book box and the Mach 5 from my storage- appears that the Mach 5 was affected by the water damage back in 2022 and yellowed...I learned that I can apply hydrogen peroxide to it to de-yellow it and return it back to the white that it naturally was.

Up this morning & getting ready to go to a football game- got a ticket through my day job, so I'm off to enjoy myself for a couple of hours before I come back home & get back to work on a piece that I finished pencils on last night.

two are like specifically related to current interest (game themed art prompts and i know there's like two more coming iirc) but also an oc specific one someone shared here and then an outfits one i usually really enjoy just kinda going ham n getting silly with

reason will probably return to me when im not running on 0 sleep but seeing myself fall for the temptation is wild

@VibrantFox yeah getting ideas myself, but I'm trying to pace myself...the good thing is since I'm WAAAY ahead on my supposed schedule, I'm thinking about squeezing in a quick fan art before I start on the "end of the year" piece.

Other than that I'm low key freaking out coz I gotta come with a wad of money by mid next month(in November) to pay PROPERTY TAX on my home(I thought I didn't have to do that until January); gonna make trying to be okay for the Thanksgiving holiday REEEEALLY enduring.

Spent the whole weekend working on my art & barely doing anything else because I was tired from going in to work early(and staying a bit late) for the past two days(to get OT so that I'll be good when I have to pay that property tax next month); got two more days to be in early before my boss gets back from the vacation...taking a Friday off in the middle of the month to catch my breath.

Kinda feel like crap- got a Covid vaccine shot yesterday at our job's health fair...for the most part I was okay; my [left] arm is hurting(around the injection area as usual) but I just feel really sluggish and tired. I took some pain relief, so I'm slowly feeling a little better.

Gonna pace myself through work today. Boss is back from their vacay so I'm back to going in at my normal time...

Almost done with an art piece- but gonna take my time a little to decide on this last thing & if it is necessary to do it or not.

My body finally crashed last night from trying to get all these hours at the day job...tried to get some house stuff done today but the fates were against it, so I'm gonna have to do it tomorrow. I slept good, but now my sleep schedule is OFF.

Getting back to work on this 80s variant piece of Rogue from the X-Men- I guess it's easier than trying to brain storm for another intermediate piece right now.

been to tired to draw so mostly scrolling through tiktok and looking at pressure twt since lockdown day just came and went but getting reminded of how much i really wanna get into music making again but i want daws that arent just like beat makers/drumpad machines coz those are all ive ever really used since i'm limited to either android or windows but wondering if i should just set a goal or something for a used ipad mini or something or just buck up and figure out fl studio

technically i did get the fl studio demo but it's ui is kinda overwhelming so wondering do i wait n see what happens with the audacity update thats supposedly coming or like research (again) what other free daws are out there.....in a perfect world i feel like i'd be able to more easily get ahold of garage band or something but 🤷
