Once I've presented an application with graphical interface to a client. He gave it to his colleagues to play around, and one of them found a bug. He discovered, that if a user makes a certain sequence of actions, one button from the interface surprisingly disappears.

When the first dude have demonstrated me that effect at the next meeting, and I saw how the button disappeared, I started to laugh as crazy... I honestly tried to get grips on myself and stop, but when I recreated the sequence by myself and saw it again, I started to laugh even harder! I laughed for a several minutes, until I found a bug (it was super-easy to fix, actually) and recompiled the application right there...
Not saying, that my reaction really surprised and perplexed that dude. Usually you don't expect this when you invite an employee to discuss the work... :joy:

I generally find many visual bugs in interfaces/video games so funny, that I can't stop laugh on them, even if it's my fault. Most of people around don't understand, why do I laugh on them too hard, and I don't even know, how to explain.
Do you find some weird things funny, which other people don't?

Sometimes I catch weird inflections in a sentence, and I find it pretty funny, but no one else seems to notice or care.

Well, there was this:

I laughed (out loud, in a public place) at this screen on and off for a solid 20 minutes. It doesn't get me anymore, but at the time I just couldn't stop cracking up.

I know Duolingo is famous for this sort of thing, but I'd never actually gotten one of their 'weird translations' before, so I think the surprise was part of it. ^^;

Weird translations are hilarious!
Ome of my favorite type is the word by word, first degree translations of expressions.

I leaned a lot of less known English expressions by giving my spouse the word by word translation of a French expression, to guess the meaning, and see if something similar exists in English. Often it does, but with a completely different metaphore. Lots if fun!

Phrases with horrible yet ridiculous implications. I've been watching a lot of Ready To Glare1 videos recently, and some of the titles from the articles she reads from have horrible, depraved implications any other person would be disgusted in. They make me laugh. I still think what's going on is terrible, but the extent that people are horrible to one another is very comical to me.

It's actually in Polish, but it's 99% the same in Russian.
Metro is a metro if course, the subway train. Pol metra is half of a metro train. Metr metra is a meter of a metro train. Pol metra metra is half of a meter of a metro train :grinning: I am chucking at it for like 2 weeks now for no reason

I was guessing something like that, but could not guess the whole way. Now I know, yep, I confirm, it's funny!

I really have to look more into Slavic languages.
(Since last time I told you something similar, I finally learned the cyrillic script. A pity I waited so long, as expected it took no time at all).

Congrats! :raised_hands: Now we can send each other secret messages!
Meanwhile I watched a Polish YouTuber and found out there is Interslavic language2 out there. This is fantastic.
And also a bit off topic haha ^^

things which I find funny, but other people don't.
the quickest thing to remember is my joke.

I sometimes laugh at something thats so insanely messed up that it seems almost unreal and too dark to exist, especially if its an edgy joke that you're suppose to find funny but ends up being so sick that it gives me a nervous chuckle. I imagine people think i'm laughing with it and not at it lol sometimes I just have to say "what the fuck" cause i'm worried people will think I generally like it when im freaked out

I am the same way. I tend to laugh at really inappropriate things, even things that, after what I have been through, people would think I wouldn't laugh at.

Over the top Slasher Movies make me laugh. Darwin awards make me giggle horribly.

Gore Stuff

Rick and Morty, especially this scene below, is hilarious. I laughed so hard in this episode (especially 1:17 to 2:15:

That just twisted sadistic horribleness of the ship makes me giggle.

Shitposts, depending on the circle. My parents or roomates don't really get why I laugh at the picture of the well prepared cat "because it's correct!", and well that's not why I'm laughing, it's just those inherently funny phrasings that get you at a certain age even though there aren't any typos or weird words.

I also noticed a few friends aren't seeing the fun in "Finally, First Fantasy/Finally, Adult Icarus" and meme variations but again, the funny phrasing of a cliche phrase is the part that works, not being a thing that exists or not.

Yeah same, I've gone through a lot in my life and found chuckling about stuff is how I deal with in a "yeah... I can't believe that happened" mentality

i think journey into imagination with figment is a funny ride, but its really only funny when you understand the history of the attraction and how the current version takes shots at its previous refurb. its very bad on the surface level.

I recently laughed for 5 minutes straight, just by seeing Eddie hall put a 75 cm corssettte on his frigging thigh and it was barely holding on.
it was so absurd I just couldn't stop laughing.

my sister and mom just rolled their eyes
