Bless this post. I was so busy with school these past few weeks, that had it not been for this thread I wouldn't have known the contest existed.
I think this could be a great chance for practice and exposure, if not for the money and a chance to be featured. Plus most of the event will be during summer vacation for me, so I have more time than I normally would. Unfortunately, I had to put my current webtoon comic on hiatus for this contest because with my perfectionism I can't handle both.
Downside is, webtoon, as people mentioned, can be really toxic, I've experience my own past comics (3 comics) being downrated (1/10) for no particular reason. The reason I even noticed was because the story is still far too new to warrant any of the necessary hate and had a 10 rating then dropped to 5.5. Which with the competition I can only imagine this happening even more. Even though that's something I would never do (unless the comic was fully plagiarized) because creators put a lot of efforts into their comics and I know that as a creator.
